This is a Brenda Jackson classic at it's best, it has all the great elements of a good story - passion, romance, suspense, drama, family issues and great secondary characters. Lee Madaris is the epitome on a gentleman. He has the ability to spark fire to the flame just by entering into your presence. He was such an intriguing man in this story. He wrote the book on "courting" - WOW - he has the power to make you loose your mind with all the wonderful and special things he does to let you know ...more

Sometimes you see a person and there is an instant attraction. An attraction that can not be described in words but that takes over your whole body. That is the type of attraction that Lee Madaris & Carly have. And once they shared an unexpected kiss, Lee knew he would never forget this woman. A second meeting is a sign that this is the woman for him. Couple that with his desire to outsmart the family matriarch and you will be in for a great ride.

Lee decides to use their attration to solve h

I think that Mrs. Brenda Jackson have done It this time, I loved this book. Lee Madaris and Clay Briggs story Is one of the best of Mrs. Jackson books I will be reading this book over and over again. When Lee first saw Clay he knew she was the one, he wanted to get ahead of his great-grandmother Mama Laverne, because she was fixing up all of her great-grandchildren so Lee decided that he was going to pick his own bride. Carly was reluctant to start a relationship with Lee because she had been ...more

This has turned out to be one of my favorite Madaris series books, coming in behind the Midnight Hour. Brenda Jackson continues to amaze me with her excellent writing style. All I can say is Mama Laverne strikes again. Lee thought he was putting one over on the Madaris matriarch and bless his heart for that. This story between Lee and Carly is wonderful. Lee most definitely lives up to the Madaris name with his fierce protectiveness, overwhelming passion and unconditional love for his woman. It ...more

This was the first Madaris book that I read, but it won't be the last. I've been hooked on Ms. Jackson's Westmoreland series for a long time and this was even better because it was longer and more involved. It also included some of the Westmorelands in the story, which was really great. Lee is the owner of two big hotels, one in Dubai and one in Vegas, with plans for a third in Paris. He has been very busy so he hasn't made time for any women in his life. His great-grandmother has been very busy ...more

A Madaris Bride for Christmas by Brenda Jackson is an intriguing read from the onset. It captures ones attention and has you wondering what's next. Great Grandma Laverne has been "match making" with her grandchildren and now great grandchildren. At around 95 years of age, she is determined to see a wedding for each of them and she's getting it done. Well some of her lineage, won't accept that and are determined to best her by picking and marrying their choice. Well Lee Madaris is one of them and ...more

I love stories that have an intermingling of romance, suspense and intrigue. It brings something magical and inviting to the storyline.
A Madaris Bride For Christmas by the exceptional Brenda Jackson was a wonderful addition to the Madaris Family Series.

Lee Madaris and Carly Briggs' love was displayed and felt throughout the book. As always Mama Laverne was on the money when it came to picking a bride for her great grandsons. She was truly a delight.

I love it. I just read it straight through. It was a all nighter read for me. Lee Madaris and Carly Briggs is another combustible couple. Super Sexy love scenes. The story took me through many emotions. Sometimes I laughed and then there was Times I wanted to cry. Awesome job to Brenda Jackson. A very worthy 100th book. Can't wait to see what happens next in the Madaris Family. Let's just say I love me some Mama Laverne.

100 never looked better, Brenda Jackson did not disappoint with her 100th novel. Lee Madaris display passion to the utmost. Carly is running scared from love, when Lee tries to outsmart his grandmother, he never thought he would find love. Brenda combines the right amount of love, drama and suspense in this one. It was great to be reacquainted with other family members and friends.

Absolutely loved Carly and Lee's story. Momma Laverne had me laughing and I could just imagine Lee's face (Priceless) when she met Carly. I got a chance to catch up with fantastic 4. Loved hearing from Ashton, Uncle Jake and the others.

A Madaris bride for Christmas is the 100th romance from the author. To mark the occasion, Brenda Jackson wanted to write about one of the members of the family with which her career began. This volume is the 19th of the series and sincerely, I won’t list all the other titles. LOL You should only know that two of my favourite novels by the author are part of that series: One special moment and Unfinished

This is a fun read for the Christmas season. It's wonderfully romantic as well as full of suspense. The magnetism between Lee and Carly took my breath away. Their love travels from Vegas to Dubai. I especially liked the idea of Lee's grandmother Laverne. She is the matchmaker in the large Madaris family. However, the grands and great grands want to find their own loves. So Lee ducks away to find the perfect woman on his own without any help from his great grandmother.

This was her 100th book and the first I read. I can say with certainty that it wont be the last.

I love a "good romance" and A Madaris Bride for Christmas had all the necessary components of a good romance.

I had a bit of a hard time sorting out all the Madaris characters and I'm sure I will learn more about most of them by reading more of the books.

Lee Madaris is a typical male romance lead. He's not looking for love but is open to passion. He finds it in a chance encounter with Carly Briggs. C

Those hot, sexy, smart, gorgeous, loyal and rich Madaris Men (Lord Have Mercy) I just love reading about them so much.

Lee Madaris saw Carly and immediately was captivated by her. But what he thought was just lust was actually love at first site (men can be quite slow in recognizing that).

This amazing story had all of the right elements to make it amazing. It was wonderful seeing some of the family and friends from previous stories.

Lee Madaris is a man that protects his own and Carly who knew a

Mandaris Legacy Lives On

Just like in all the other great Madaris stories has all the love and mystery of how Great Grandmother Felicia Laverne Madaris always finds just the right person for each member of her family to marry will continue to be so. Just as before Brenda Jackson has done it again so get ready for her next Madaris novel to see who will be for Nolan Madaris. I can't wait and neither will you. I truly recommend all of the Brenda Jackson Madaris series books enjoy the read.

Loved this book ,looking forward to starting this series in the beginning. Not sure how many books are in it yet, but if I could go back and start at the beginning of the J.D.Robb in Death series, then this one should be no problem. The way this was written was a wonderful love story. This was a hard one to put down.

Hmmm...just finished the book and I feel... Meh...

Okay, so this book has a very consistent theme and repetitive feeling from the main characters, Lee and Carly. They are marrying for convenience and passion and not love...then by golly...they fall in love with each other. Didn't see that coming, huh? I knew exactly where this book was going before I got there and that killed the thrill for me.

I think the author really spent a lot of time convincing

A Madaris Bride For Christmas is Brenda Jackson’s 100th novel! I’ve read and enjoyed her before but somehow I’d missed her Madaris Family series… I didn’t feel left out (too much :P ). There were many characters I could tell had been in other stories, but the warmth and family bonds were apparent even to a newbie like myself. Besides, this is Lee and Carly’s story.

Intrigue, danger, passion, heart and humor are layered in Carly and Lee’

This was my first (but will not be my last) Brenda Jackson Madaris book.

Strong sexy alpha male hero Lee Madaris, independent gorgeous woman Carly Briggs, and in the background, "managing" matriarch Felicia Laverne Madaris.

Carly's switching jobs - and towns - after hearing a murder from the stockroom of the Miami restaurant where she works. She calls it in to the anonymous tipline, and then... nothing. No body, seemingly no investigation. Kind of creeps her out, and then, her best friend and room

This was a continuing story based on the Madaris family. It’s not necessary to read the other books prior to this one as each book is a stand-alone, but I highly recommend reading the other books based on this family as its members are mentioned frequently and it can become confusing. I had a hard time keeping up with Lee’s various cousins and their spouses.

Normally, I'm a love it or hate it kinda girl. If you look at my reviews, I'm either a 5 star or a 1 star reviewer. But this book has me so torn. There are moments of it I absolutely adored, and moments that made me cringe. Let me tell you about both...

First off, Im disappointed in the title. I understand that the premise of the book is that Lee will have his bride before he goes home for Christmas. But at the same time, the novel gives you the impression that it's about Christmas. And that's wh

Another delightful romance from an author who has proven she knows how to tell a really good love story. Full of spice and hot loving, this novel continues the Madaris family saga and is built around the determination of the family matriarch to see her unwed sons, grandsons, and great-grandsons married and happy. It is a story that embraces the experiences of two people who have lost their joy for life due to overwhelming personal disappointment or because of the pressures of a highly successful ...more

I've not been in the loop with The Madaris Family saga, nor the writings of Brenda Jackson, but I can tell you that you don't have to read prior books to enjoy this one.

Do you believe in love at first sight, a love that will last over time? Having experienced that myself was a plus as I journeyed with Carly and Lee along their course of lust, passion, love, honesty and suspense. Carly was a "throw away" child who endured broken promises and a broken heart thinking that she could never trust aga

This is my first book from this series and I adored the Madaris family, especially the great-gradma and her nosy past time of matchmaker. Lee was a perfect guy with faults and trying his best to control his own love life. He tried to pull a fast one, but didn’t make it. So this book was a romance with a little bit of suspense and enjoyed the action scenes.

Carly was a nice girl, she suffered a lot in life with awful mother, but she made a great life for herself and witnessed a murderer that month
