Claimed by the Demon was an interesting concept and I applaud the author for her originality and imagination, but for some reason this just didn’t really work for me.

Plot wise Claimed by the Demon was very different from anything I have ever really read. It was very new for me and I found the whole concept and style mostly very interesting. I do think that things could have been explained a little better, there were times that I really wasn’t sure what was

This book left me a little puzzled. The idea was really good, but as it was developed the storyline I found a little difficult to go ahead with the reading. I had to stop several times, finding I didn't like very much by how it was narrated the story.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I have not read the first book of this series, but I think this book worked well as a stand alone read. This book introduces Mac, an attempted good guy who is in possession of a demon blade that is trying to take him over. Drawn to evil intentions and situations where he is given a choice between saving people and killing people, he has so far stayed on the side of saving people. Gwen is a brave and outspoken woman who suddenly felt

3.5 stars - a solid I liked it. Some how I started Claimed by the Demon and it got shuffled to the side until reading another of this author's stories, Lynx Destiny, inspired me to finally finish. This is the third of Durgin's Demon Blade stories I've read, and in addition to another good pairing, more has been added to the world - a villain who is stirring up hate and turmoil and an artifact that is not a blade but which has a connection to them.

I liked this pairing, they are drawn together and

Ok, I was in a book-reading mood.

And the H at least, hadn't watched his brother go nuts while wielding the blade. Still, trying to marginalize it, deny it, etc... made him at cross-purposes with the blade. The h well, she can be excused for not realizing what she's wearing since it didn't actually DO anything until she accidentally woke it up.

The bad guy in this one, much like the bad guy in the first one, was in accord with the blade. That is to say, he was not a good person, so he and the blad

"Durgin combines a nicely paced plot and a good mythology for the blades in one fast-paced, exciting story. Her descriptions of Mac's fight against the evil taking him over are quite good." RT Book Reviews, rated 4 stars

Entertaining read but it was kind of hard to follow. I didn't read the first in series so I'm going to in hopes of answering some questions I have. Very original idea but it could have been executed better.

Paranormal romance. This writer did too much you-fill-in-the-blank-for-yourself writing. While some of that is okay, this was too much. It jumped so that I felt like I wasn't following in spots.

Another enjoyable addition to this series. I love the idea of the demon blade. So clever and so many directions to go with it.
