Is any shot at living, worth dying for?

They thought they’d be safe, but a world ruled by chaos doesn’t die easily.

When Max turned on the radio transmissions assuring safety, they came. But, it wasn’t just survivors of the demon apocalypse that crawled their way into the abandoned military base. A myriad of beastly demons unlike any they’ve ever seen, came as well. Abby, an...more

Savannah (Books With Bite)
This is the second book in the Agent of Evil series and it ROCKED! Loved it so much.

The beginning automatically sets the tone for a darker book. After surviving months on their own they are trying to find a safe place. They issue out a radio plea offering a safe place and instead found themselves much more deeper than what they thought. I like that they plot had lots of twist and turns. The great world building of the demise around them is awesome.

The characters have once again, grew so much. Th...more

“Chaos” (Agents of Evil #2) is a great follow up to “Released.” This dystopian series is about a group of individuals who are trying to survive when the world is suddenly being overrun by various hybrid insects and animals that they grow to know as demons. The story begins shortly after the first book when Abby, Max, Carter and friends locate an abandoned military base that they turn into their stronghold. They begin sending out broadcast messages on the airwaves to others who may want to join t...more

Have you heard of Megan Duncan? Do you know who she is? If you answered no just then, I have to say you are mad and you need to look her up Right Now! If you answered yes, then you already know how awesome she is and you don't need me to tell you, but I'm going to tell you again anyway:
Megan Duncan is AWESOME, FABULOUS and in my opinion a MARVEL! I fell in love with Megan's writing last May when she sent me book 1 (Released) to read in exchange for a review. I think that was the best choice I ev...more

I don’t know why but Megan’s Agents of Evil novels just mess with my head and give me nightmares! I love it! I read this over the Canada Day Long Weekend and Saturday and Sunday night - I had nightmares about demon crows and demon spiders (I HATE SPIDERS) I actually have a “spider scream”. Chaos was too short for my liking. I wanted more of the story I love it so much! There was a ton of action in Chaos which made me turn the pages faster. We met some new characters which I kinda sorta love them...more

Chaos, the second novel in Megan Duncan's Agents of Evil series, is an action packed horror adventure that will leave you breathlessly waiting for the next book to be released. The action, the romance (Abby and Max are just the cutest, even with demons around), the demons! Oh, wow, I love Duncan's demons. They're so creepy they'll make your skin crawl!

I felt Chaos had a lot more action in it. Released focused more on the four original characters making there way in a desolate, demon-filled waste...more

I have been waiting for the sequel for ages and the second I received the Advanced Readers Copy, I tried as much as possible to read it whenever I got the chance in between work and Uni. But only today did I actually sit down and read it from cover to cover. And damn. It got scarier. I don't know how Megan comes up with this stuff.

So, the book started out with Abby and the fighters or 'warriors' of the base getting ready to fight Spider Demons. It was intense, descriptive and entirely page turn...more

Chaos follows Released, and continues the story of Abby, Carter, and Max as they struggle to survive in the new world that they have found themselves. A demon apocalpyse has changed the world as they know it, but instead of giving up, they have figured out how to fight them and keep their place in the world. Everything about this series is wonderful, from the characters to the story itself. The characters are easy to identify with because they are real, even living in this dystopian world. They...more

In post-apocalyptic America, small groups of survivors hide amongst the ruins in an attempt to live through each day as demons destroy the world they once knew. After finally reaching the military compound, only to find it deserted, Abby, Max, Taya and Carter make it their base, welcoming newcomers as they trickle in, creating some sort of home for those who have already lived through more than anybody should have...more

In Released, the first book in the Agents of Evil series, author Megan Duncan introduced readers to a refreshing and captivatingly stark apocalyptic world overrun by demons. And in Chaos Duncan continues to explore her heroine’s fight for survival in this dangerous and fierce new world.

Picking up where Released ends, in Chaos Abby and company have arrived at the military base to find it completely empty. But when they turn the radio transmission back on other survivors begin to arrive, seeking s...more

OMG- Intense doesn't even begin to describe this book! I mean, it is basically the end of the world with demons attacking around every corner so don't expect it to be all sugar & sprinkles!! Those few shared, private moments between Abby & Max are starting to mean the world to them because they realize every kiss may be their last. It's hard to keep hope alive among the group of survivors when every day they encounter new, more horrible kinds of demons and the demons they're used to figh...more

So I'm reading through the start of the novel and I was thinking how awesome it was because it starts off right after the last one, pretty close to no gap what so ever. Then we get to the middle and I'm like holy crap these characters are luckier than all sin because despite the odds they are still alive and haven't suffered massive loss. Then I get to the end and Max is dead and I'm thinking, gosh, not Max. Then all of a sudden Grant is dead and I'm like holy crap, the author just killed off tw...more

Too short but I loved it anyway...especially since there will be another book! So can't wait for that to come out. As soon as I started Chaos I was sucked into the second book of the series. We learn about new demons and meet new characters. Abby and Max grow closer in their relationship and it seemed like Carter might get a new love interest in one of the new characters but I don't want to give a whole lot away. Around the ending to Chaos Carter tells Abby what he believes he has discovered to...more

Finally I get to finish book 2 of this series. It's been almost 2 years since I read book 1 and I barely remember what happens but I do remember liking it.

I think because of the time gap I took for me to read the sequel made me like the series less. It's probably because my genre has evolved passed young adult.

Chaos is a good book. It's sad, dark, thrilling, scary but had a bit of humor to it. It's a perfect combo is a great apocalyptic/dystopian book. This book has been on my shelf for so long...more

I have some positives and some negatives to say about this book, so I'll start with the positives:

This story is really unique and engaging. I still really love all the characters, and the story is told in a very logical sequence of events. Very little, if anything, feels contrived. Everyone is evolving in this world of demons and fighting for survival. Can't wait for the next installment!

That said, I cannot stress enough the need for independently published authors to HIRE A COPY EDITOR!! This i...more

This book was crazy good. It gave me the hibbie jibbies a couple times too. I loved the new characters that were brought in. Abby and Max are still a couple and they take advantage of every opportunity to kiss because they may not get to again. I love the way Abby takes charge of any situation and is always taking care of others. Its hard to think of her as a teenager. And this book is not the end of the series.

Fast paced and written quite nicely. My only drawback is that there are questions left unanswered. Questions that seem they should have answered in this book rather than forcing it unto another. I still look forward to the next book.

This was a great follow up! I enjoyed action the romance and suspence! Very very good follow up.
