I'm having to stop and think about this one, it wasn't that it wasn't good or that it lacked in any way ingenuity. I liked that some fresh ideas in the rock romance grouping were to be found here and not just the same cliches all though a few of those were there to. But hey those are what make rock romances so great to read. Yet even with this it just didn't't get there for me. From page one it kinda felt like I was reading about immature teenagers and not people in there twenties. Also I could ...more

Have you guys read a book that pissed you off?! I'm sorry if it came that bad, but i couldn't say any less than that. It pissed me off plain and simple.
Maybe because i was expecting much from this, granted that the synopsis was very catchy. I don't know what happened but the story just flowed in a contrived manner. It came very unnatural, its was like each part of it keep babbling some obtuse predicament and scenes. And don't get me started with the characters yet ill get to it before i end thi

Soooo, this book was a freebie, but I still paid for it (actually I don't remember if I paid for it, and I can't be bothered to check, lol. Point is, I've read it before).

Wanna know how? Because it's the same book as Under Her Skin. Like, word for word the same, except the names are switched around.

So in short, a twice-recycled Justin Bieber fanfic. This time I had the sense to DNF, lol.

Edit: okay, I need to explain myself. If you will bother to get a new pen name, change book titles and all, WH

It was an enjoyable read. I thought the story was engaging. A light rocker romance that had an alpha, with attitude.

Felt like a familiar story...kinda predictable. Needs some editing and use of a spacebar like crazy!!!!

The best part of this book? THE END. Oh and the little swirly chapter dividers. Seriously, there was no character development, I have no idea in my head what any if them looked like - no picture whatsoever. The writing was like that of a child, the story was just ridiculous and there were too many spelling mistakes to count. I mean, the two main characters Ashton & Kaylee hated each other but spooned each other every night?! Really?!
It kept flicking from one persons POV to another and was t

*Sighs* there were times in the this book where I wanted to bash both Ashton and Kaylee's heads together and scream at them to get their s*** together. Ashton you can tell he has something for Kaylee but he's just a big baby and doesn't have balls to admit it, but then circumstances make him see things differently, "what the eff is going on here?" His angry eyes turned from Brandon to Kaylee as his voice rose. "You met this guy tonight and gave him your virginity already? What the eff are you th ...more

I didn't like Kaylee most of this book she cried a lot which I guess is ok when there is something to cry about though sometimes I really liked her she was so annoying near the end it just mad me mad. Ashton was cool to me he had some problems of his own but none as big (I think) as Kaylee. Her self-doubt was overwhelming me at some points like why? It was clear she had some issues. I liked the book but that is the strongest adjective I have for it. Liked.

This was a pretty good book but if you have read all the rocker books then things will seem similar. The way it is written is also a bit different for me it isn't one person's point of view but rather some one looking in telling the story (I'm sure there are technical terms for this style I just don't know them!). So you know what's going on in everyone's head but it makes you feel a bit disconnected from the characters. There was a part in the book when I was in knots about what Ashton was doin

This book is a love/hate relationship. It is one that will keep you into the story until the very end.

Kaylee Miles helps her brother out with his band Miles of Pleasure. One of the band members Ashton makes Kaylee feel things she shouldn't. She see's all the women that he has sex with it hurts her a little more every time. You think they are finally going to work things out something else happens.

I must really love books that keeps my emotions all scattered because this is one book that did that

This book had me smiling the whole time. I loved the sparring between Ashton & Kaylee. Their relationship was so dysfunctional at the beginning that you could honestly read all of the sparks flying through their fights. I read this book straight through w/out putting it down because it was just that great. Another character that made me really happy was Noah, he was an amazing friend and an even better brother. He knew exactly how to treat his sisters relationship and respected it. I would l ...more

Under Her Skin by Alexis Lauren, Stephanie Nicole

Yes alot of people keep screaming this is the same book as "under her skin" but if you look it up it's written by 2 authors(THEY ARE BOTH THE SAME PERSON SHE JUST CHANGED HER NAME) . so i guess they just changed the names to more american type names in the books. It's a ok book I didn't love it or Hate it. I would prob do it all over again and download it i had to. If you have time to spare why not read it?

Be warned this is the same book as Under Her Skin by Alexis Lauren with the names changed. I bought it and got about 20% into it before I went back through my rockstar reads and found why it seemed so familiar. Not sure if it's a case of plagiarism or an author deciding to work under a different name but it was frustrating to feel scammed and having to get a refund.

Wasn't sure what to expect but it's not bad. There are some errors but nothing major. It's the typical rockstar story with ups and downs! But worth the read. Gripping characters and predicaments they get themselves into. Not predictable which always a positive.

Grammatical errors, run on sentences....and I got confused about who was speaking many times because it felt like all the characters were speaking at the same time. Waste of a perfectly good reading afternoon!

Although this was an interesting read, I did not like the predictive element of it. I much rather read a book filled with surprises. However, I do not regret investing my time to engage in this book.
Currently, flat and emotionless. There is very little characterization. The author tells me what the characters feel, but does not show me. Plot-driven story.
