Marcus and Selena in Alexandria is a book that has great potential, but has fallen short of what I was hoping for. This book I would recommend for pre-teen readers and a first-time YA read, because it both has YA features but it is innocent enough for younger ages.

I received this book after winning it in the goodreads giveaways and was really looking forward to it. While it reminded me a little of Romeo and Juliet as in the forbidden love I was actually disappointed in the direction of the story.
