This short story focuses on a woman's self-reflections regarding starting a new life with her fiancee. As such, the story contains no dialogue, but rather relies on the narrator's decade old potted tree to trigger a flood of memories and what-ifs. The language is quite lyrical and the subject matter of starting a new path in life highly relatable. As an introspective vignette, this short piece hits the mark.
