While I'm not as active in my scrapbooking as I used to be, I was excited to read a book about scrapbooking. I really don't know how I expected the scrapbooking to be weaved into the book. I liked how the characters used scrapbooking as gatherings and time to talk about their feelings and life, but I didn't like how the author referred to brand names. I didn't feel it was necessary to call a brand of paper out. Rather, I would have gotten the same point if she said, "and Tandy grabbed some paper More...

Chick Flick/Romance + Scrapbooking with a little Religion thrown in.
Background ... Sisters Meg (Mother of 3, Home Schools), Kendra (Black Artist), Tandy (Lawyer), and Joy (Asian Homemaker),all had problems with their "real" parents were all adopted by a minister and his wife when they were little. Mother dies of cancer when they are grown. Not a very realistic acc't of ANY sisters I've EVER met. They all get along ALL the time.

2.5 stars. I hear the second book in the sequel is better. Once I start to forget why I didn't love this book, I'll check out the next one. I hated the all the product placements (ie, the Becky Higgins sketchbook, the Cricut machine, etc etc) and the dumb Hollywood references. The story also had lots of loose ends and holes throughout and there were lousy attempts at foreshadowing. Not much preaching in it, and I love that it is very clean in language and content.

Fluffy fluff fluff fluff anyone?
WOW, no real plot (unless you count what was revealed pretty much in chapter one as a plot), no suspense, no foreshadowing... shameless plugging of scrapbook materials (did she get money from them? or was she just trying to prove that she knows her "stuff").
I love scrapbooking, but I guess I hate reading about it! Also, I hate a predictable love story.
It says on the cover that it's "southern fiction"... I guess I'll have to count myself out of that genre.

Another cute story from Rebeca Seitz. I'd give it 2.5 stars. It's an easy read, and a "sequel" to Prints Charming, which plays off the "sisters" idea. A story about a multi-cultural family: each of the 4 sisters is adopted. Their mother has died, but all the girls love scrapbooking, just as she did. This book centers on Tandy, the red-head. She has a high-powered law career in Florida, but after a forced visit back to her small hometown, she is torn with what direction her life should take. Her More...

The back cover states “The first series written by, for, and about scrapbooks.” I have to be honest I first hesitated to read this book steeped in scrapbook knowledge because I’m not addicted to this hobby. On the other hand I do have family members who are, so I reconsidered. I plunged into this story in hopes of learning more about scrapbooking and the people who do this. I’m happy to report I’m glad I did. A few pages into this story I was delighted to find out this book was about so much mor More...

This was an absolutely adorable book and I do look forward to the sequel. I usually do not enjoy contemporary Christian fiction, but I really got into this book with plenty of giggles. Only two downfalls in my mind for this novel: one, two name switched editing errors, but not bad enough to destroy the book just caused a double take of confusion; two, I'm not a fan of Hollywood drama referencing, but that's just my personality. In the past year I've been getting into crafts more and more, especi More...

I was excited when the novel started out in my beloved Orlando. Too bad Orlando is not viewed very positively. :( So that probably prejudiced me just a tiny bit. :) Interesting. Didn't seem terribly plausible in my world view, but perhaps it would be in someone else's. Thinking that, I pondered about the book quite a bit. I did enjoy the bond between the four adopted sisters and their dad.

I picked this up when I was hanging with a friend at a bookstore once and started to read. I just know it had to be good after I read a very little bit now months later I found it at the Library and am almost finished with it and I was right it has been beyond great so far! I look forward to reading the rest of the series has they come out! Bravo Rebeca for written such a great, Christian Funloving series! We can't get ebough of!

A book about scrapbooking! My kind of book! This book is about 4 adopted sisters, 3 have stayed at home, and 1 has moved far away to pursue a law career. Following a sort of mess up at work, she heads home for a short vacation. A lot of things happen in the next couple weeks, including reuniting with a high school love, experiencing lots of small town events and of course, lots of scrapbooking!

Tandy Sinclair is a woman with a haunting past. Worthiness of the sacrifice that her parents made ruled her decisions, and estranged her from the God she was raised to serve. Earning God's love and the love of others is a battle many people face and especially Christians. This is Tandy's battle and her ultimate victory!
I love the story of a family created by God in a family of adoptive sisters! We need more families to step in where birth families have stepped out.

When an attorney visits her dad and 3 adoptive sisters in her hometown, she discovers that her first love still lives there. Is the flame still alive?
My rating was somewhere between 3 to 4 stars but I'm going with a 4 because I enjoyed the references to scrapbooking ;) Looking forward to reading more in this series.

I loved this book. Telling the adoptive sisters story from an adult point of view and how much their adoptive parents meant to them was such a good story to read. It is a love story entwined with a young woman finding herself with the help of her sisters. I love that it is a series. I am on to the next book.

Loved this book. Can't wait for the rest of the series to arrive at the library reserve desk. Romance, going home, scrapbooking with sisters, remembering family and letting go of the past - it is all in the book. Yes, a chick book but with scrapbooking. Four sisters reconnecting.

This didn't wow me, but it was a very cute book. A tale about 4 sisters who get together to scrapbook in an upstairs room on their parent's house. Made me miss having girlfriends to scrapbook with.
For an avid scrapbooker who loves to read, this is a great book!

First of her books that I ever read.. I actually found it through a Christian fiction blog on here. It grabbed my attention because it's about scrapbooking, one of my new favorite hobbies. It was pretty good and I will probably try and read the others in the series.

This was a cute book, but like some of the others I found it distracting with all of the pop culture that was added to the story (even when it didn't need to be). As if we don't see enough of Paris Hilton/Nicole Richie on the tabloids. I don't want to think about them when thinking about scrappin'.

Cute story. I really like the sister element. Some people have said it is un-realistic, but as a sister, I get it. A little light romance added in, and a small town setting, and you have a fun, light read.

The book improved towards the end and the author seemed to tie up her themes nicely, but overall this book was boring. I think the author needed to cut about half the dialogue and step up the pace of the plot.

Enjoyed this book a lot. With a clean story line plus a bunch of scrapbooking sprinkled in the book, it was like I was reading my life. LOL! Can't wait to see if the library has her other books.

I liked this book a lot better than the "prequel". Good story--but there were a few "I want to slap you" moments! You will really enjoy this more if you like to scrapbook!

Once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down! Just the right amount of romance, sisterhood, and scrapbooking! What more can a girl desire?

Poorly written and sometimes annoying wording. Great for mindless chatter and distraction. Got sucked in and now reading the series. Sigh.

Maybe I was just not in the mood for this type of book but it seemed kind of boring, predicatable and without much of a story line to me.

I don't know if I will make it through. I feel as though I already know exactly what will happen. And since I have books to pick up at the library, this might not get picked back up.

A little to much mentioning of scrapbooking, but otherwise a good fast light read.

Took a little while for me to get into the book, but once I did, it was entertaining/ cute. I almost wish a little more of the back story (about when Tandy was young) got explained earlier in the book because it might have made for a smoother read. I grew to like some of the main characters, and will most likely read the next book in the series.
I am not into scrap booking like some of the main characters, but I like artsy things on occasion and hanging out with friends, so I could appreciate so More...
