Clancy Brown's Luthor from Superman the Animated Series is about as close to giving a rat's ass about this character that I've come. He was an interesting and evolving character throughout that show and after in Justice League. In comics he’s been hit and mostly miss for me. That’s why I see Azzarello’s LUTHOR as a worthwhile glimpse into the mind and motivations of the man. The Luthor half is pretty good but doesn't quite make sense. If Hope is a robot then why did Luthor need a medical cure for brain problem? Did Superman just kill a cyborg? Did Superman just beat up Batman because Batman had some kryptonite? It's established that Batman has kryptonite and Superman deals and even if this is some alternate reality...then Superman just crushed a container of Kryptonite, getting the dust all over his hand. Which doesn't make sense.

Ottimo, bellissimo il modo in cui è esposto il punto di vista di Luthor nei confronti di Superman, disposto a sacrificare tutto pur di far aprire gli occhi alla gente nei confronti dell'alieno. E poi il Joker, bhe che dire ?!? semplicemente folle !! 5 stelle meritate !!!

Brian Azzarello (born in Cleveland, Ohio) is an American comic book writer. He came to prominence with 100 Bullets, published by DC Comics' mature-audience imprint Vertigo. He and Argentine artist Eduardo Risso, with whom Azzarello first worked on Jonny Double, won the 2001 Eisner Award for Best Serialized Story for 100 Bullets #15–18: "Hang Up on the Hang Low".
