"For the Sake of Mercy" is a entertaining futuristic science fiction story featuring Captain Henry Duschelle and his star ship Persephone.
In this story the ship's engineer Dufresne receives bad news about his son, whose liver has been infected and needs an organ transplant, but the saving liver is 4 weeks travel away.
The crew all agree to start the journey against time. The ship uses cosmis and solar winds, a great environmentalist twist in my view.
On the journey they encounter several challenge

In this story, the author presents the reader with one adventure, but several challenges for the Captain, his loyal crew and the even the ship to overcome and there's no time to waste, or relax, on this trip.
