Whoah! This was everything a good vampire thriller should be exciting, fascinating and disturbing!

This is probably the first teen vampire book I've ever read and it certainly gave the genre a good reputation! I've always been a fan of the Goosebumps series (and I still am), but then I found this and was totally blown away! The Goosebumps series are totally tame compared to this and I'd definitely say this book would give younger kids real nightmares!

The twins' situation felt real throughout wit...more
If I read one more insipid story about girls, vampires, and rampant weeping, I may go mad. There's near-infinite potential in a story about a pair of twins, one of whom is a vampire and one of whom is not. Somehow, Stine manages to erase all of that potential with a cardboard villain with ridiculous voice, girls who are boo-hooing their way through life, and characterization that is flogged to the point of obscurity. The ONLY reason it rates two stars is that the plot hangs together. Pretty much...more

I have to admit that Dangerous girls Is a quite dangerous book

If you like to read mysterious and thrilling books you have got to read "Dangerous Girls" written by R.L. Stine. It is about twin girls, Destiney and Livvey, who are about 18 years old. They sign up to be on camp council. So they spend the summer watching little kids at Camp Blue Moon. The cover and selection on the back made this book look extreamely promising. The book first begins to strain at the very begining at the summer camp. A...more
Though this book is pretty good and certainly not lacking in ideas, I must say that I was a little disappointed that it was written in such a fast and simple manner. I'm used to that writing style for Stine's children's books, but I think I expected a little more when it came to a book geared towards teenagers.
Still, this book is a beautiful tragedy. The cliffhangers are as enticing as ever, and although most of his hints can be seen from miles away, there were a few moments I didn't see coming....more

Dangerous Girls (Book One)

Author: R.L Stine

Book Length: 320 Pages

Cover: I love this cover, it is an original vampire cover before they were known as glittery, self loathing beings. The art is beautiful and the vampire in the background grabs my eyes and wont let go. Love it!

Summary: Destiny Weller and her twin sister, Livvy, return from their summer vacation with an overpowering thirst –– an inhuman desire to drink blood.

It has been a long time since the last time I read a book by R.L. Stine. Not wanting to read Twilight recommended by my friends because it's too long, I decided to read something also related to a vampire story. Destiny and Livvy Weller are twin sisters who go on a summer camp trip. After they return home from their camp, they feel strange. They are desired for blood and soon realize that they are turning into vampires. Later, the girls find out that their own father is a vampire hunter and he t...more
I've been a fan of R.L. Stine and his work since I was nine years old. I've been a vampire fan even longer. I finally got around to reading this one.

I liked this, but I didn't love it. The characters themselves are okay, but a little two-dimensional. The writing was definitely Stine's, but there were also some problems with it. Mostly with the dialogue. It seemed that the characters said one another's names way too much, enough that it felt unrealistic.

The story itself was interesting, though I...more

Destiny and her twin, Livvy, both return from Camp Blue Moon with a thirst. A thirst for blood. They've realized they are becoming vampires.
Renz transformed them under the light of the moon. Renz fell in love with a girl names Laura, centuries ago, and he is determined to be reunited with her after her tragic death.
Destiny scaredly searches for "The Restorer" to help cure her before she becomes a full vampire. She'll never guess who it is.
I loved this book because I've always had a thing for vam...more

Dangerous Girls is a thrilling book for young teenagers. Many can relate to this book, even if it's not in the way they do. I am currently awaiting the arrival of the second book: "The Taste of Night" and look forward to writing a review on that. I would also recommend to teenagers all around the word the Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer.

R.L stine series are one of my favorite series next to the Twilight saga. This book was very intresting ot read. It had a lot to offer at first. I didn't really understand waht was going on. I soon was about to give up hope on this book, just throw it away and abandon it. But then suddenly A subject stuck me in the book. ANd pulled me in. I started to acctually enjoy this book. It was really fun to read. Destiny and Livvy had an intresting relationship in the book in my opinon. Destiny seemed li...more
I used to read alot of R.L. Stine's books in 5th grade. I used to be very into the horror section of the library and bookstore. I recently saw this sitting on my bookshelf and decided that i should clean the dust off and maybe try reading it seeing as i needed an advisory book anyway. Dangerous Girls was not as scary as i remember R.L. Stein's books to be but it was an easy and fun read. The book is about two sisters that go away to camp and when they return home they realize that they have all...more

A creepy and well-developed story. R.L. Stine is famous for his ghost stories and this is another one of his greatest works. After the twin sisters return from summer camp, they have a desire for blood. Have they been possessed by ghosts and turned into vampires? R.L. Stine does not clearly tell us the answer and thus, he creates great suspense throughout the story. The girls' lives are changed forever; one of the twin is saved by their father but it is too late for the other. R.L. Stine's stori...more

I really like this book!
Can this be made into a movie please?(: it was so good!
This book is awesome! It is the first vampire novel I ever read and I absolutely fell in love with the story. Its not like those vampire romance novel that are the craze nowadays, where the main character falls in love with the vampire and the vampire is sensitive and doesn't want to hurt anyone-Lorenzo, the vampire, is willing to do whatever to get back his Laura, going as far as to impersonate a school counslor and such. And the ending was a shocker. That's all I can say, I don't want to spoil...more

This book was weak. The plot was good, it was a good idea, but the way it was brought out wasn't so great. There wasn't much detail and it seemed like everything was fast paced. One thing that really annoyed me was the dialogue. In one chapter Ari and Ross are talking back and forth and what theyre saying doesn't relate in any way and they just speak as if the other one isn't there. It made entirely no sense. The only reason I finished this book is because I feel incomplete when I don't finish...more

I like this book mainly because it's about vampires!
This book is interesting and fun because of all the suspense going on.

It all starts out when two twin sisters go to a camp.
Destiny, one of the twin sisters, gets bitten by a counselor on the last day of camp, but doesn't know.
Destiny later finds out about her cravings for blood and realizes that something has gone wrong. Before she and her sister know it they're on the run ,because there are many vampire hunters including their own dad.
Actual Rating: 3 1/2 stars.
I used to LOVE R.L. Stine. As a child, I devoured "Goosebumps" and his "teen" novels like "Fear Street" but they were too simple for me before I was 10 so I moved on. When I found this one, it was thicker... looked like more of a BOOK-BOOK than those I remembered as a kid. I enjoyed the little trip down memory lane. Decent story written in the same manner I recalled. Nothing shocking but a good way to kill an hour or so. Looking forward to reading book #2.
