My review:
I finished it yesterday.... and it sucked. - I really didn't like it very much. I expected it to be GREAT, because, after all, the ratings were high, and they're (Sam Raimi's movie-company) are planning to adapt it for the Big Screen.... - But no, I was really disappointed.
Mainly it was just utterly boring, and full of clichés, like the same-old "crazy-psycho-stalking ex-boyfriend " of the protagonist what is suppose to "scare" you on every single fucking page of the book. The stupid...more

R.L. Stine is known for writing mystery book for children. I can see the change he created in this book compared to the choose your path mystery adventures. He is good at making the mood mysterious. I love the description he uses to grab the readers attention and won’t like the reader put the book done until it is finish. “I shut my eyes against the bright orange glare. Hot flames licked my face. I smelled my hair starting to singe and felt flames on my cheeks, on my forehead, like knife stables...more
Awful...and I actually finished it. I have no idea where I got it--I think from books left in a classroom. R.L. Stine usually writes for teens but the language he used in this book, which has a teen-enticing cover, really was beyond the pale for a teen book. Story line was jut plain stupid as well. Donation box for this one.
I used to read R.L. Stine when I was a tween. I used to love them...I always enjoyed the plot twists at the end. Hence I decided to give R.L. Stine's book intended for adults a try. The book was similar to the teen version(s) except full of more R rated themes. I guess my tastes have changed b/c the plot twists seemed contrived and dumb instead of surprising and interesting. Quick read...interesting enough that I wanted to finish the book but overall just meh.
