Setting: somewhere near Nashville
Half a star for comedic value.

The Horse Farm is a place where people with various physical and mental issues come to spend time with horses and get better. Olivia Gordon is one of the people who helps them. She sees ghosts. Her cousin Malachi sends a new member of the Krewe to investigate. Dustin also sees ghosts.
If what I wrote seems dull and boring as hell, that's because it is. The two main characters are special and, as the author constantly reminds us, be

Olivia Gordon is seeing ghosts: one of them is a Civil War general, Rufus Cunningham. The other is her employer, Marcus Danby, whose body is in front of her ... while his ghost is tapping her on the shoulder.

Thus begins "The Night is Forever."

Set on a fictional equine-assisted therapy facility in Tennessee, the mystery not only involves ghosts but ghost hunters ... one of them a a very handsome fellow called Dustin, who is falling for Olivia even as he tries to help her investigate Marcus' death

To be honest i was choosing between Mariah and Sydney as the killer. Sandra was too obvious choice for a killer because she was a bitch. Sydney is always left in the farm and he seemed to be someone you would least suspect while the author spent too much time on Mariah's back story. The ghosts were not creepy they merely served as tools to explain the story or parts where humans are not present (eg how marcus died). I also liked the small snippets about us history. And

The Night is Forever by Heather Graham is another installment in the Krewe of Hunters series is another hit for Heather Graham.
Olivia Gordon works at the Horse Farm, a place people came for therapy whether they are addicts, folks suffering from stress or kids on the verge of being lost, given up on. It is another peaceful ride when Olivia comes upon the body of Marcus, the owner and founder of the Horse farm is down on the ground, dead, and off to the side she sees the General, or thinks she doe

This was another very good mystery from Heather Graham but the only problem I have with the Krewe mysteries(and the others that deal with paranormal mysteries from this wonderful author) is that each one seems very formulaic. There's always been two involved in the murders & in each story, whether it's a Fed or a detective or PI that's the authority figure in the story, there's a woman that first isn't thrilled with him and then falls head over heels in love with him; whether that woman is a ...more

I received this book for free from Goodreads. It's expected that I review the book. I should have read it when I got it, and then reviewed it, but we moved and the books got boxed. In any event, I am apprehensive to review this book as I simply didn't like it. I don't know if they think the books are so amazing that they send them out expecting the reviews will be equally amazing.

This is not the case today. First of all, I am surprised that Heather Graham is a best selling author. This was my fi

Totally hopping around with the books in this series, but I'm really digging them. I'm never absolutely sure who the villain is, there isn't a ton of gratuitous sex, the MCs are a little on the Mary Sue can-do-no-wrong side... it's just working for me right now.

I really liked the Civil War theme that was in this book and the history that I learned. I do know that Heather Graham has a certain formula but I love the history and mystery that comes with her novels. I also liked the fact that she wrote about equine therapy for people with addictions and children with problems. It's amazing what can be done with animals that help humans. When my brother-in-law was dying of cancer his daughter and son-in-law bought him a Siberian Husky (his favorite type of d ...more

The Krewe of Hunters continues with what may be the best in the series by bestselling author Heather Graham in “The Night is Forever.” A goose bump inducing start introduces readers to the picturesque Tennessee hills outside of Nashville and sets the tone for a fluid, captivating tale.
When Marcus Danby’s cold corpse is found in a desolate canyon by animal therapist Olivia Gordon, she has mere minutes to call for help before she too is found slumped over in the ravine. However, Olivia is far fro

First Thought when Finished: Gosh darn it! I am still in love with the Krewe! The Night is Forever was an excellent addition to this series!

Read It File It: Nashville, Civil War, Hot Agent, Smart and Caring Woman, Dead General just lending a hand = one intense but sexy Krewe of Hunters book. I really liked Liv and Dustin. They each had such unique skills

In general I really like this series. Ghosts and ghoulies and things that go bump in the night partnered with mystery and romance. What's not to like? But this was an INCREDIBLY weak entry in the series. It had a lot of potential, and I liked the characters. But everything kind of...petered out. I guess it's still worth reading if you are a fan of the series, but if yo

Good read. Olivia works on a therapy horse farm for troubled individuals started by Marcus who was an addict himself. One day Marcus turns up dead in a ravine from drugs. Olivia refuses to believe he was using again and when local law enforcement won't listen to her she calls her cousin Malachi who is on the FBI. He sends Dustin down who is a new agent to investigate. In the mean time, the second-in-command of the horse farm is killed and an attempt is made on Olivia's life. What makes this inte ...more

I am a huge fan of the Krewe of Hunters and this book does not disappoint. What happens when a recovery center founder is discovered dead, of an overdose? One employee refuses to believe that the simple answer is truth and when the ghost of the dead man confirms it, she asks for help.

Enter the newest employee of the Krewe, a man who is trying to help solve the mystery, and keep them both alive.

This is a supernatural mystery that is engaging and solid. It never crosses the line into silly, as som

I found this book silly in a way that I do not enjoy. I think I was expecting something darker or a bit more gritty? the main characters are beautiful and perfect and become entangled in a deeply passionate and sincere romantic relationship almost instantaneously (although of course when they first meet, they rub each other the wrong way). I felt like all of the characters spoke in the same voice, which didn't differ much from the narrative, and it felt like things happened arbitrarily, as in, t ...more

*I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

When I requested "The Night Is Forever" on NetGalley I didn't realize it was the 11th book in a series and I was afraid I wouldn't understand the story but, thankfully, my fears were unfounded, since the story is perfectly independent.

Krewe of Hunters is a special unit on the FBI, responsible for the investigation of paranormal phenomenons, and Dustin Blake is its newest member. His first assignment consists on investigating t

The Night is Forever continues the Krewe of Hunters series and ends the "Night" trilogy. The thing I really like about this series is that even though it is the 11th book any of these really could be read as a stand alone. So, anyone can jump right in and enjoy. Each book is a new paranormal mystery and deals with a different "main couple". In this book, Olivia is a therapist as the Horse Farm. When the owner and founder is found dead, his ghost tells her that he was murdered. She calls her FBI ...more

Olivia Gordon knows that the man who owns the horse farm where she works as a therapist did not die from an overdose of the drugs that he had been clean of for decades. She knows for a fact that he was murdered. He told her so. Yes, that’s right, Olivia, cousin of Malichi Gordon from The Night is Alive, can see and talk to dead people. When Marcus assures her that he was murdered, the only place she can turn for help is cousin Malachi and the FBI’s Krewe. Can she and agent Dustin Blake find Marc ...more

The Night is Forever is another solid entry in the Krewe of Hunters by Heather Graham. The Krewe is an elite group of FBI agents with "special" abilities who deal exclusively with paranormal crimes. New agent, Dustin Blake, is new to the Krewe and his first assignment takes him to a facility outside Nashville, The Horse Farm. The Horse Farm uses animal therapy to deal with a variety of mental and emotional problems. When Olivia Gordon, a therapist at the farm, finds the dead body of Marcus Canby ...more

I enjoyed this book but thought it was a bit slow. Unlike "The Night is Alive" this one was more about the characters' lives and what they did at the Horse Farm. Someone was killed, of course, but it dragged until someone else was killed. Dustin, the detective, gets sent by Malachi of the Krewe to find out what was happening, especially since his cousin Olivia works there as a therapist helping patients working out their mental and physical disabilities through working with the horses. And, of c ...more

My Review The Night is Forever (Krewe of Hunters #11)

I like the Krewe series. They are filled with mystery with touch of the supernatural. There are love scenes that I skipped over.
In The Night is Forever their are ghosts all over in the story that so enrich the story. Marcus died of a drug overdose. Everyone believes after 30 years clean he relasps except Olivia. Olivia found Marcus's body and his ghost that said he did not go back to drugs, He was murdered and he needs her help.

Another great ghost story from Heather Graham. She is the queen of ghostly romance if you ask me. But what i enjoy best about her writing is the history she puts in. By the time you are done with her books you want to visit the site and take a ghost tour yourself and this was not different.

I was unsure about the romance of Dustin and Olivia at first. I think Graham has been putting a bit too much tension (non-sexual) into her main characters lately and t

This is the eleventh book in the Krewe of Hunters series. The main characters are Olivia Gordon (Malachi's cousin - Malachi was the main character in the previous book) and Dustin Blake. A historic ranch that helps people with physical and/or mental disabilities recover and Olivia is one of the counselor's. Dustin was called to help Olivia figure out what happ ...more

The story begins when Olivia Gordon discovers Marcus Danby, dead in a ravine. His death was made to look like an accident, but Olivia is certain Marcus was murdered. Marcus comes back as a ghost and talks to Olivia and asks her to help him. He tells her he was murdered.

The Night Is Forever by Heather Graham

The Night Is Forever is set in Tennessee on a horse farm that functions as a therapy center. When Olivia Gordon discovers Marcus Denby, owner and founder of the therapy center, dead in a ravine, she is grief-stricken; when Marcus actually appears to Olivia and tells her that he was murdered, the shock causes her to faint.

Olivia, one of the therapists at the center, refuses to accept the verdict that Marcus fell of the wagon and took the drugs that killed him

The greatest percentage of this book takes place on a Horse Farm outside of Nashville. The Horse Farm is owned and run from Marcus Danby and he makes a point of saving horses that are no longer wanted or are being abused. The same goes for dogs and cats. There is also a Therapy Center for troubled young teens and drug abusers as well as alcohics. These kids come to the Horse Farm to work with the horses and therapists to learn bounderies.

When Marcus Danby dies he shows up as a ghost to his niec

Graham creates likable characters from the living to the non-living that you can easily connect with. Olivia is wonderful, from her optimism to her interactions with the staff and youth at the Horse Farm. Convinced of foul play she is determined to clear her mentor’s good name. Dustin, who is former military and a decorated member of the FBI, has always been able to see the dead. When approached by the Krewe of Hunters, he is honored to be considered for this élite group. After finishing, The Night is Alive, I went right for the next book. This time, our murder mystery is happening present day but we also learn a little bit about the civil war time period. We see the characters from the last book, Malachi and Abby, but it is Malachi's cousin Olivia and agent Dustin Blake who are the main characters in this book.
I liked this book, but not as much as the previous one, The Night is Alive. I think I liked the history of the last book better with the pirates and the

I really love this book! I have a great love and passion for animals. I am thrilled this book was not only about ghosts and mystery, which I love as well, but about helping animals and people. I have always wanted to work for an equine place that helps to with children and adults with problems. They also rescued horses and dogs and cats which is another plus :)

And of course, I love, love, love this was set in Tennessee as this is where I live :)
