Recommends it for: anyone who has an interest in architecture .
R. Brognard Okie was an excellent architect who was a proponent of The Colonial Revival style, and along The Main Line outside of Philadelphia, one can see his stone houses illustrating the Colonial Revival style. His houses blend with the lay of the land, and the interiors show built-in China cabinets, large deep fireplaces, and wooden beam ceilings with wrought iron pieces of hardware such as hinges that hold the wide Dutch doors in place.
