I received this book for free in exchange for a fair and honest review.

An Act of Devotion is written by T. A. Ashcroft and revolves around the life of Franklin (a 3-year-old chocolate lab) and the humans whose lives he becomes a part of.

Get your tissues out for this one! I have actually read this book twice so I could make sure I reviewed it properly. I absolutely loved this book! It is completely different to anything I have read or probably will read. I was a bit confused reading it the first time as the book is told from multiple points of view, even the dog Franklin has his own parts. Heartwarming in some places and upsetting in others, this book had me going through all the emotions. I loved Maddy however I thought she was ...more

Disclaimer. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This book is about Franklin, a dog, and his relationships with humans. It also touches a bit on the seedy underground dog fighting world. And some paranormal stuff is thrown in at the end.

Honestly, it was hard to get through the beginning of the book. I enjoyed hearing Franklin's POV and reading about his loving relationship with his first owner, Aggie. She was a sweet character, full of charm and deep affec
