This is a short e-book (got mine at Amazon for Kindle) that is a bridge of sorts between the 1st in this series (Frozen) and the 2nd (Charred). A judge requests Ellie's help in locating her missing niece. Very short so there really isn't a lot to review. The author has kept true to her characters, as they are very believable. The mystery is okay. I think the reason for this short is just to get from book 1 to book 3 without a lot of extraneous information. This does not 'have' to be read ... the ...more
This book is a novella and a fast read. The story moves at a very good pace, a kidnapping of a high school girl - but who did it, and why does the coach seem so guilty?

I liked this novella for a lot of reasons and one being how the story was so well written - great continuation of the series. No time for romance, well, maybe a bit of angst and a hint of it.

There was even a bit of geology in it!

Anyways, good novella and 2 thumbs up.
Short but kept you hanging. Charred is next.

She loves suspense and to write erotic stories in the genre is a special treat.
