LOVED IT!!! What a fantastic read, the story line and characters blew me away!

The story starts off just after the heroine Tori parks her mobile trailer/ coffee shack in the parking lot of the Cactus Cove bar. On her walk across the parking lot to the bar to get a bite to eat, she is surrounded by several men on motorcycles who are blocking her way. Ev

I have a problem

I see the words motorcycle club, and think hot motorcycle riding hero, and my eager little finger finds that damn one-click buy button on Amazon immediately.

Well in the case of this book: Bad finger! Bad bad finger! Next time you will want to make a book buying decision for me, I’ll just tell you

This was a total dud for me. It felt like a watered down Kristen Ashley novel. I struggled through the whole book, and almost gave up at the half way mark. I was just going to cut my los

I am so bummed because I had really high hopes for this book but I have to stop @ 40% because I just CAN'T TAKE IT ANY MORE!!!

WTF is wrong with Tori!!! WHY does she come across/sound so juvenile?? Here I am waiting for a legitimate reason that might explain her childlike behavior (I was thinking maybe she was dropped on her head few too many times while she was a child or something along those lines) but the reason we get is her douche of a father?? Really?? I hope there is more to the sto
I had "compatibility issues" with this book. It was 40% ish in when I called a DNF

I know I am going to come across a total bitch by saying this but it is my opinion. Tori's "freakout's" were seriously amusing to me, they were just so over the top & unbelievable in my opinion. I could honestly not believe that she could of survived by herself if that is how she reacted in situations. I also doubt that people would not of been freaked out by her behaviour.
She was a lot of effort for a
Tori runs a coffee shack out of her trailer, moving from place to place never making any ties or having any roots. You learn about her past and why she has chosen this way of living. And while my heart when out to her, I had trouble connecting to Tori. My issue mainly with Tori is her need to fun from Rain. She is quick to anger and when she misinterprets situations she has a snit and leaves. Not something I like in my heroines.

Rain, badass biker who owns the local bar, hotel and garage comes ho
Tori Baldwin has settled temporarily in Pitnam, Washington until she has enough money to move onto the next town. With her fantastic coffee she serves, Tori also offers love advice with each order. Now Tori knows that some of her clients are a bit rough around the edges, especially since she is in the parking lot of the Cactus Cove which is a local biker hangout, but everyone needs words of wisdom despite who they are. Tori however is about to meet her match when President of the Bantorus MC Rai ...more

Breathing His Air By Debra Kayn

Take everything you think you know and believe about so-called Alpha heroes, and throw it out the window, because you don’t know Alpha until you know Rain.

The hero in Debra Kayn’s new contemporary biker romance, Breathing His Air, is bossy, and sexy, and macho. Sounds like your typical Alpha, right? Wrong, because he’s also considerate and generous, and actually really psychologically well-adjusted. Imagine that! No kinky sexual needs, no horrible traumas lurking i

I love MC romance but I have a very very hard time finding the ones that have the perfect alpha for me. I need loyal, possessive and protective. This one had the perfect hero and I was totally captivated by the story, the romance and the brotherhood. This author proves that a MC romance doesn't have to have all of the gritty hardcore elements that others d

Breathing His Air marks a first for me - my first biker romance book! The action starts right away as Tori, a 24 year old mobile coffee shop owner just arrived for a 3 month shift, is harassed by a badass biker gang as soon as she steps out of her coffee trailer. Things are starting to look pretty darn scary for her when Rain, lead biker of the local (nice guy) club and alpha male supreme steps in and literally carries her away to safety. In order to protect the silly and naive Tori, who refuses

If you like your books suspenseful, unpredictable, captivating, with a serious dose of masculine hotness, Breathing His Air is your book! Heroine Tori Baldwin is the kind of girl you want for a best friend, and she draws the readers in just as she draws in everyone else around her. Rain Brookshire is everything you could want in an Alpha male hero (who just also happens to be the leader of the Bantorus motorcycle gang - SCORE!); when he claims Tori as "his woman", author Debra Kayn makes sure th ...more
Did I like this book no, do I think it deserved 5 stars absolutely not. I LOVED this book and the book deserves 100 stars. This book blew me away. I almost always love the hero's in my books( I take my time deciding what I should read) and I LOVED Rain(he was sigh wothy) but I also loved Tori she was funny and strong and caring and giving and thoughtful and even though she thought of herself as a curse she brought love and cheer every were she went. I DNF'd around the 40% mark.. It's too disjointed and ridiculous. It's like the author is reading the discussion threads and tried to write a book to meet everyone's desires, but you can't do that in a single book! It just doesn't work; those elements do not fit together, and the book doesn't fill in enough background/supporting details to make it work. Instead it jumps from scene to scene, feeling to feeling, and dialogue to dialogue hoping that you don't notice that each aspect is suspended in ...more
I really wanted to like this - bikers, sassy women, a little bit of mystery, it should have been a no-brainer. Instead, I really struggled to finish it. The characters were 2 dimensional, the story didn't flow and it was all a bit disjointed. I just felt disappointed.

This book unfortunately for me was awful. I couldn't connect with the characters in the book whatsoever. It seemed like a sound story to begin with but there was alot of knowing what was going to happen.

Tori Baldwin moves from place to place, never getting close to anyone or forming any lasting relationships. She randomly ends up stopping in the biker town of Pitnam, Oregon, and decides to set up her mobile coffee shack for a few months before moving on. Tori quickly becomes the talk of the town, know for her compassion and the free love advice she gives with each cup of coffee. Tori's coffee shack is parked in the parking lot of Cactus Cove, a biker bar owned by Rain, the leader of th
A bad-ass biker looking for a happily ever after… hell yes, I’ll read the book! I was thrilled to be offered this book in exchange for an honest review, and even more thrilled to be able to offer 5 for this story!

   “Damn, you’re trouble”

Tori rolls into town in her mobile coffee trailer, not realizing that she was parked in the parking lot of the local biker club. When Rain meets her, he knows she is going to change his world. He falls hard and fast and is determined to keep her safe and in his

If you love those bad boy, uber-Alpha heroes, stop what you're doing right now - including reading this review! - and get yourself a copy of Breathing His Air by Debra Kayn.

Rain Brookshire is the most interesting romance hero I've ever come across. As the leader of a motorcycle club he's tough, determined, and more than able to protect and defend his brotherhood and what's his. And when Tori Baldwin becomes his after a rival club that's up to no good threatens her right under his nose, Rain's pr

I even caught myself wanting to turn the page because I had to know what happened and trying to turn it ahead of time just to make sure that everything was ok. I didn't love this one. I love MC books, but this one didn't really feel like an MC book.

Rain is great guy, very sweet and good to Tori. I just like my Motorcycle Man to be a little rougher. I think there is a happy medium, but this felt like this one was on the very SOFT side. I am not sure if I would have loved it more if I hadn't been expecting an MC book, but since that expectation was there it was hard to get into.

Tori runs a mobile coffee shack and gives out love advice. I felt like the
I enjoyed this story. It was a bit different then most MC books I've encountered; which I liked. It did drag out a tad bit but over all I enjoyed it.

What I Liked:
1. Rain. He could be: sweet, caring, loving and patient. I loved how he never calls Tori the B, P or C words. He may be hot headed and too quick to draw conclusions but he could rectify it really fast.
2. Once a couple always a couple.
3. The Bantorus MC men.
4. Raul.
5. Issues resolved quickly.
6. Tori. I loved her the most when she threw

I really wanted to be into this book; 100% gone with the wind in love with this book. When I picked it up I thought I would spit it out in 36 hours. Unfortunately, that was not the case and it took me an entire week to read through it. As far as biker romance goes with the growing selection out there, your definitely in for a softer ride with Breathing His Air and the Bantorous MC. I found everything to be toned down a notch from the Biker Romance I normally read. I'm used to graphic sex and gra ...more
I had a hard time putting this book down. Staying up til 1 am when I had to get up at 4. LOL. Debra keeps you spell bound.

Tori is on the run. She has things from her past that just keep her moving on. She doesn't like to make long term relationships.

Rain is a Biker Gang Boss. He tries to keep everyone in his territory safe. He doesn't need a small opinionated woman in his life.

Tori owns a coffee shop on wheels and traveles the country, staying about 3 months in each destination. She come

I love motorcycle club books. I can’t help it. I love it when the hero is all bossy. I love the motorcycle club culture. The politics, the aggression, the overly alpha men. I want to be someone’s “sweet butt.” What?

So when this review request came my way I gobbled it up. Overall I liked this one, although I did have some frustrations along the way. Let me set it up. Tori Baldwin has a very traumatic past and now can’t settle down. Driving into a small Oregon town one day, she decides to set up h
