This story takes a complex heroine on a journey from New York to Rome and back as she grapples with two romances and two distinct identities. The author's writing style is at times dreamily evocative, blatantly honest, and wryly witty. I loved this book and recommend it to anyone with an interest in cultures beyond their own backyard.
