This is the first book by this author I've read and boy did I enjoy it . Well written ,thoroughly enjoyable story , if I had a negative about it I would say it was the use of London speak as other reviewers had mentioned but other than that this is a book I would recommend.

Really good book. Took a couple of chapters for me to really get into it, but it was definitely worth it. All the way through you know there's going to be something going on that you're not expecting and when it happens you can't put the book down.

Set in the second world war, it's about a family who's mother walked out on them and living 'rough' on the streets.

I enjoyed this story as it gave you an insight into life during WW2. A bit predictable but still an enjoyable read.
