I found this book fascinating once I got past the introduction, which is incredible "woo woo," as a book about modern-day shamanism and healing. As a new-age healer who travels around the world, including many places in the Amazon and beyond, the author's primary concern is healing from the heart of issues through plant medicine, healing practices, and mediation. He is not a good writer, though, once I got over that fact, I was impressed at his ability to talk simply about difficult issues. Also...more
