Virginia Woolf was right. Women–and men, it turns out–yearn for a room of their own.

But instead of a little nook beneath the eaves, that room is now a shed. Today’s sheds, however, are not dusty shelters for plants and tools. Lace curtains have replaced cobwebs, charming antiques stand where shovels and rakes once rusted, and instead of corrugated walls, you will find ced...more

I got this from the library after seeing it in a magazine. It was just okay. The sheds and hideaways were a little TOO stylish and elegant for me! Love this book, it is absolutely beautiful...both pictures and text are absolute art. I loved it so much, I made a video review of it (my first) :)...at Gardener to Farmer.

Great coffee table book with very cool cottages and hideaways. Loved flipping through with a cup of tea and imagining one day having a little getaway of my own...

I loved this book! I've always wanted a "playhouse" out in my garden or in nature. Lots of styles are represented. Something for everyone!

Honestly, what fantasies -- and yet -- something about a little "get away" a "play house." I've always loved little spaces -- this is a big-time fantasy book!

Design porn, the stuff of fantasies.

Got a great idea for a desk with built in bookshelves, because there are never, ever enough bookshelves.
Rebecca
Beautifully photographed, and interesting. The buildings are hardly SHEDS however--very spacious and elegant, indeed!
