I received this novel as part of Goodreads First Reads program.

I have to say, I absolutely loved this book. The way Mr. Martin hooks the reader in from the very first paragraph is wonderful. I thoroughly enjoy a book when I just cannot put it down. I wanted to know how it all tied together and how it all ended.

The only drawback I found were some typos, but those can be easily overlooked and does not distract from the novel.

Great find for paranormal fans!

I received this book from the Author with the request of giving it a review. I was intrigued from the moment I started it. It was absolutely nothing like I thought it would be, actually it was far from it. I was very impressed with what I read and and how well the story flowed. I was hooked till the story ended, rather than having the feeling of, ugh I need to put this aside for a bit.

I feel the characters could have been a little better built, maybe a bit more backstory for each of them. I also

I received this book free from the author as part of a First Reads giveaway! The title itself intrigued me! It was a fairly simple book to read and it was a quick read. I really did enjoy the story line and I was surprised by what the main character would find out about himself. It is rather scary to come to realize what the human mind is capable of. My heart truly ached for Trina throughout this story. I was rooting for Tommy to rescue Trina. I honestly can say I was surprised by the ending and ...more

The Coming of Dark is an interesting story that may appeal to fans of paranormal suspense. This is not my preferred genre and although I tried to judge the book regardless, this personal bias may contribute to why I didn't feel particularly connected to this book.

The story itself is intriguing. It starts off and ends strong. I felt some information included in the early to middle chapters recounting past events could have been omitted without detracting from the story. Likewise, I feel more scen

I won this book through goodreads giveaway.
Looked forward to reading this book but found it really a different read for me. I did give it a 3 start since I felt it was a good book. This is a paranormal suspense which to be honest I have not really read this kind before.

The author I did find to be quite good and his character interact quite well.
Troy who is the main character is a police detective. He has just woke up from a coma which he has been in for seven weeks. Troy wakes up to find that he

I was born in Alabama, but from about the age of 4 to 13 I lived in Baltimore, Maryland. At the age of 7 I went to the hospital to have my tonsils taken out. It was suppose to be a simple procedure, but during the surgery my heart stopped. It was three and a half minutes before the doctors could get it back to beating. During my extended stay of 3 months at the hospital my mother started buying me ...more
