So this is my first Max Lucado. What a beautiful little book. I wish I had found it years ago when still wandering in the desert I created for myself. But then, I would not have read it back then. I wouldn't have even noticed it on the shelf. It's a very beautifully written little book about just how much Jesus loves you. It speaks in loving detail of what Catholics call the Passion of Christ, the story of how his sacrifice "went down". (Lucado is not Catholic though)

This book probably speaks more to new believers or seekers than it did to me. It spent most of the time going through the life of Jesus and how He did that for us. Which is all good, but after doing Beth Moore's Jesus the One and Only, this book didn't seem as "meaty".

It just seemed like a series of snippets from sermons or something. It was disorganized and I don't like the way Lucado uses a word or two from a verse in a way that I don't think the entire verse it meant to be read.

I loved this book! There are very few pages where I didn't underline something and most of those underlines were double ones.

This short book contains inspiring stories that would bring anyone to tears! This book contains stories and examples that are very easy to relate to, brief and easy to read. These uplifting messages of hope and encouragement are excerpts of some of Max Lucado's greatest work. This is a great book for anyone who isn't familiar with any of his works and would like to get to know what his books are like. It's only 135 short pages and very easy to get through in one or two sittings!

I did not finish this book, but I don't think it deserves 1 star. It was okay, just seemed to be somewhat lacking to me. I think I must have picked this book up at a yard sale. I love Max Lucado's children's books, so I thought I'd like this one. I made it half way through.

This book really showed me how much God cares for everyone. Their is one chapter that talks about Jesus in his Garden of Eden and how he went to the cross because he looked into the future and saw all of the lost souls and he knew he would rather go to hell with you than to heaven without you. It was so powerful. Lucado is such a gifted writer.

This book is full of real life stories of God's grace, mercy and love. This book is an easy read and great for new believers. This was my first book I read when I came to Christ. Good Book!

Max Lucado has touched millions with his signature storytelling writing style. Awards and accolades follow Max with each book he writes.
