Today we are desperately in need of examples of true Christian leadership. In the life of Robert Chapman we have such an example. Chapman was a widely respected Christian leader in England during the last century as a pastor, a teacher, and an evangelist. But he was best known for his remarkable life of love.

I picked this book up because I recognized one of the authors, Alexander Strauch, who also authored "Biblical Eldership" which was a pretty thorough book about 'shepherds of the flock'. One of the comments on the cover by Charles Spurgeon also enticed me: "The saintliest man I ever knew".

This book was given to me by my friends Paul and Janis Meiburger, whose lives exemplify agape leadership. (That's agape with three syllables, not two!)

R.C. Chapman hardly comes up in the listing of famous Christian leaders in the past few centuries. This book makes it clear as to why. Mr. Chapman was an incredibly godly leader in the early days of the plymouth brethren movement. His humility and love are legendary. This was a short biography on the life of an amazing Christian man. Provides so many good examples of how to actually LIVE like Christ, focus your life on Him, and how to be a gentle yet effective leader. A very short, quick read. My husband and other men in our Bible study absolutely LOVED this book, so not sure why I didn't love it, but thought it was still a very worthy read with some good reminders on what it means to be a Christian.
One of the finest works on the nature of Christian love I have ever read. Leadership strategies and qualities and temperaments abound - they are a dime a dozen and will fade like the flower. Love endures forever and shines with the glory of the Son.
A beautiful life lived in grace. Everyone needs to read about R.C. Chapman and mark him as an example for us all.
Powerful book! Great example on how to lead with love
RC Chapman was quite a man of God. Definitely inspiring.
Becoming acquainted with the life of Robert Chapman was very enriching. What a godly example to aspire to. We hear of the Moody's, the Spurgeon's, and the Whitefield's of the world but many of the church's saintliest men have flown under the radar and desired it to be so. Chapman was one such man. An inspirational read.
R. C. Chapman was a wonderful man. This pamphlet is a short biography about a man who lived love. More Christians should read and embrace Mr. Chapman's approach to life.
Pure wisdom from a man who truly lived.
Kostya just finished this book and says it was excellent for any man who needs a good role model for leadership.
