Eagle Strike
By Anthony Horowitz

1. I decided to read the book Eagle Strike because I have read all the previous books in the series and they were quite interesting.

2. An interesting character in the story is Damian Cray. He is a very famous pop singer who is a very influential person to the world, as he has met people like the queen and the president of the USA. He seems to be a very likeable character, that is until the story progresses. He is interesting because he is different to your average

Eagle Strike by Anthony Horowitz is about a fourteen year old boy named Alex Rider who works for MI6, which is like the CIA. He has to stop a crazy man named Damian Cray from destroying almost half the planet with missiles. But this time Alex doesn’t have the help from MI6 because they think Damian Cray is innocent because he is a very successful pop star and he gives tons of money to charities. Alex undergoes a lot of danger and has a close to death experience. Will Alex persuade MI6 that Cray ...more

I think each book in this series gets better and better. Eagle Strike continues the fast paced action. I found the book got a bit slow in the middle, but it certainly finishes with a bang. Off to get Scorpia now!

Eagle Strike by Anthony Horowitz has the basic problem solution plot structure, while being dreadfully slow. This book was meant to be an action story; however, it practically put me to sleep. In this book, Alex Rider is a 14-year-old spy! That’s about as unrealistic as it gets, even for a realistic fiction novel. This novel contains explosives, high speed chases, gun fights, assassinations, murders, real life video games, plane crashes and hostage situations, while all being completely predicta ...more

Um I gues I have to do a book teaser, so here goes. Eagle Strike, by Anthony Horowitz is a very interesting book. At the beginning, Alex is vacationing with his friend Sabina when he see his worst enemy, Yassen Gregorovich. He follows him and witnesses him talking about something blowing up. When they return to where their staying, their house is in smithereens and Sabinas dad is in the hospital. Nobody has any idea why it happened, but they find a half burned article that the man was writing sa ...more

Alex Rider is a schoolboy who got sucked into the world of espionage after the death of his uncle, that had left him an orphan. This is the 4th book in the Alex Rider series and this one is quite different from the rest (or perhaps that's just because I hadn't read the graphic novel for this one before the actual book).
While on vacation with his friend Alex comes across an old enemy, not understanding what could possibly lead the assassin to him, he follows him. In this book Alex is actually no

Having read 4 of the books in the Alex Rider series, Eagle Strike has to be one of my favorites. Alex Rider, a 14 year old spy, believes that Damian Cray, the world's most famous pop singer who is always donating to charity and wants world peace, is up to something no good. After Yassen Gregorovich, the assasin who killed his dad when mentions Cray's name in a phone call Alex becomes suspicious. He goes to the MI6 but they don't believe that a person like Cray would be attempting something bad. ...more

Teens these days are always complaining about how much of a bummer it is to go to school. The grades, the social environment, the future, its all too much for a teen to think about at once. Well try saving the world a couple of times and finding yourself in several life or death situations.

Anthony Horowitz, a British author outdoes himself with another amazing sequel in the Alex Rider series. In 2003 Horowitz published another sequel to his best selling series, Eagle Strike.

Eagle Strike, the fourth book in the Alex Rider series, is not a let down. This book begins with Alex vacationing in France with his friend Sabina. However, the fun vacation quickly takes a turn for the worst when Alex spots a prominent assassin, Yassen Gregorovich. In this book Alex fights to uncover the evil plot of a world-beloved pop star and philanthropist.

Horowitz once again delivers a fun and action-packed book, with all of the Alex Rider fan's favorite characters returning. I highly reco

Eagle Strike by Anthony Horowitz is about a fourteen year old boy named Alex Rider who works for MI6, Britain's military intelligence. In this book Alex must stop a man named Damian Cray, a popular music artist who is beginning to branch out to other areas of business such as game development. Damian Cray seems like a great person on the outside, he donates to charity often, and has no criminal record, but underneath he is a mad man with his sights set on world domination. Note: There are some minor spoilers for the book in this review and wouldn't recommend reading it if you are new to the series.

I thought that overall the book was pretty good for multiple reasons. One of those reasons being the main character, Alex Rider, he is just really unique for a teenager, the main thing being that he is a kid spy and especially for younger kids who like action and they see Alex Rider and would probably be like, "Wow, I wanna be a spy when I grow up too Mommy! I have to re

Eagle Strike critique

Sir Damian Cray is a philanthropist, peace activist, antidrug crusader, and the world's former most famous pop star. But he’s going to need to do things different to not be caught by Alex Rider. Most of the time people like Alex Rider has the support of the government. This time, he only has himself against the most popular man on earth.
This book is about a teenager trying to save the world from the most powerful man on the planet. It includes, gun fights, assassinations,

Anthony Horowitz is at his best when writing gritty and realistic fiction, and that’s pretty damn good. The Alex Rider series manages to have the tropes that we know and love from James Bond films while still critiquing them ruthlessly. Alex never wanted to be a spy, and the psychological and physical torment that he endures over the course of the series would destroy anyone, much less a 14 year old.

After his girlfriend’s house is blown up, Alex becomes convinced that Damien Cray, a beloved ent

After reading Eagle Strike, I found that it is a very easy read and a great book. It's about a teenage boy, Alex Rider, who was trained from a young age to be a spy. His uncle took him under his wing and began the training after his parents were killed. He didn't ask to become a spy but he was just kind of forced into it which he was not happy about at all.

This book was about Alex trying to enjoy himself on vacation with a girl he likes very much, but then he spots and old enemy and decides to i

SLJ review:

Gr 5-10-This is Anthony Horowitz's fourth Alex Rider adventure (Philomel Books, 2004), but it's not necessary to have read any of the others to follow this one since enough background is provided along the way. The novel opens with 14-year-old Alex, an orphan who has been trained by British Intelligence as a secret agent, on vacation in the south of France with his friend Sabina and her parents. When he spots Yassen Gregorovich, a Russian contract killer he's run into before, his curi

Damian Cray is a popular singer who acts as the main villain in this story. Yassen Gregorich is an assassin who killed Alex’s Uncle in an earlier book in this series.

I just adore this series and I think that each book is getting better. Alex Rider is such a real character and the reader identifies with him. The stunts he does to escape and get into places are a bit far-fetched but Alex, and the author, certainly are inventive! And it isn't any worse than James Bond's stunts.

In this story Alex is visiting the south of France with his girl friend's family when the bungalow they are renting is blown up and her father is badly injured and burned. When Alex sees

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character in this book was of course the main character, Alex Rider because he is the exact same age as me and so I can relate to him a lot. His mind is quite similar to mine or any 14 year old boys. Like in the book, he was sun bathing and having a flash back when suddenly a pretty girl walked past and he stopped to look at her. Then when she left he went back to his business. He is also not stupid which I like because it annoys me in books wh
