Warning: get ready for a testosterone overload. The guys are in the driver's seat in Seduced - and the ride's gonna rock.

Twenty-three year old Nick Crandall has one focus in his life: Oblivion, the band he formed with his best friend Simon Kagan. With gigs coming up and the band members lacking focus after losing their drummer to rehab, they're out of ideas. Until Oblivio

This is truly a series prequel that sets up each of the primary characters for their individual stories. It's also a full-length novel that sets the "stage" for how the band came to be and all the dynamics that led to their current professional status.

Quick Summary
The band is Oblivion and they live in a Los Angeles basement apartment beneath a laundromat. Nick Crandall is a guitarist, songwriter and the founder. Simon Kagan is the lead vocalist and a guitaris

I have fallen in love and lust…HARD…with a rowdy, sexy, moody, dirty, talented group of guys who seem to be, well, Lost In Oblivion!! Hmmm…*taps chin thoughtfully*…did I leave someone out?? Oh, riiiiight. Oblivion’s sparkly little pixy of a female drummer who inspires burning-hot flames of jealousy within my heart! Okay, okay. Fine. So, I like her, too. How can I help it?! She’s adorable, talented and able to twist each of the guys around her finger (er…and a few other verrrrry interesting posit ...more
I really thought I would love this book, I've read quite a few of Cari Quinn's other books and always enjoyed them and you only have to look at all the 5 star reviews for this one to think you're in for a good story.

Unfortunately Seduced just isn't for me. I've tried so, so hard to finish it but I keep having to force myself to pick it up so there really isn't any point in me carrying on.

I found all of the characters incredibly selfish and dislikeable. All they really care about is getting off t

This book will catch you by surprise and highjack your attention with its beautifully expressive prose, charismatic characters, appealing plot and sexy passages.

I bought this book after reading Rocked, Lost in Oblivion’s first book in the series thinking it would be great to know more about a group of characters I found eclectic and interesting. But at the same time I had other reading commitments that delayed being able to read this book. I wish I had read it right away, or better yet read them

Seduced is the full-length prequel to the Lost in Oblivion series. A series centered around the sexy and talented rock band, Oblivion and it's five members. But in Seduced, this band hasn't reached their fame yet and with their drummer in rehab, their singer loosing himself in alcohol and women, and their guitarist and song writer struggling with his own inner demons, spirits are down and tempers are high. Deacon, the pacifier of the group and bassist, is not going to stand for failure though. R ...more
A 2.5 STAR ( GoodReads rating )

I love writing reviews, seeing all the overwhelming 5 star at Amazon, and here I am with my 3.5 star review, I can't help feeling a bit challenged. For several days now I have been attempting to post a review but always chickens out at the last minute. I hate to stick out as the "only one" to give a less than 5 star rating everyone generously gave. ( I guess that's what an arc does to some reviewers, somehow feel obligated )

From the very start you get a glimpse of

Already a huge fan of Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott as individuals, I was overly excited when I heard they were writing together. Add in the fact that their subjects would be rock stars with a hint of bad, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book and when I did, I couldn't put it down.

I was fortunate enough to read an ARC copy and I can wholeheartedly say, you gals did not disappoint. Seduced (Lost In Oblivion) had everything I could have wanted. Okay, sooo, I’m fibbing... I always want more.

Have you seen you?
If you are a rock star junkie like I am, then you will love Seduced. What's not to love? It's got all the ingredients you need. Sexy rock stars - check. Starving musicians trying to make it in the music business doing what they love - check. Bada$$ female drummer that catches the attention of the band members and stirs the mix - check. Chemistry, sexual tension, secrets, anger, humor, friendship, love, and music - check!
Meet Nick Crandall, Simon Kagan, Deacon McCoy, Grayson Duffy and Jasmine 'Jazz' Edwards. Members of the hottest rockband in romanceland! If you're looking for the next great rockstar romance series, look no further! When I just finished the book I had no words to express how much I loved this book. All I could say was: GO BUY this book. Don't walk, RUN!! Now that I’ve had a few days to mull it over I have come up with a seemingly coherent review.

I beyond loved the band and everything to do with

A fresh and gritty view of rock bands… Oblivion is not at the pinnacle of their fame. When we meet them, they’re not falling or even rising stars. Matter of fact, they’re on the verge of meltdown and collapse.

Co-authors Taryn Elliott and Cari Quinn have let us slip inside the band’s crowded and stuffy basement apartment, and inside their heads. They’re not cocky, not larger-than-life… the guys we meet are talented, driven, broke, and a little bit broken. Sex is their religion and their steam val
I wanted this book to be good because I was dying to read "Rocked". It wasn't. It bored me to tears. However I am going to give "rocked" ago.
This prequel novel by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott introduces us to the gritty, realistic world of the up and coming rock band Oblivion.
While each of the 4 main male characters will eventually have his story told, this one alternates between the point of view of Nick the guitarist, and Simon the lead singer. It tells of the early days of the band and their struggles to make it into the spotlight. The characters relationships with each other, with sex, drugs, alcohol and rock and roll are what m
I am SO excited about this series. I've read truckloads of mediocre musician romances this year, and it's such an adrenaline boost now when I find a good one! Now, mind you, Seduced isn’t actually romance novel, but I’m going to give you five reasons to read it anyway.

5. The music!

It is a sad sad state of affairs that most musician romance novels use music as a setting, but don’t fill it out with appropriate details. In this book, you can feel the desperation of the character’s love for their s
So far, this has been a bit disappointing. There have been some serious misspellings/grammatical errors (has took). Characters feel stereotypical (early 20s band mates who do nothing but use, drink, and have sex). It feels more like Almost Famous era than now.

This would have been a DNF for me except I am reviewing the next book in the series and wanted to get the background so I would know what I needed to know going in.

Serious manwhores, Simon and Nick, are just not good people really. The wors
Now THIS is what I love in a RnR Band book! Backstories. Band relationships. Struggles. The nitty gritty of overcoming obstacles and trying to get noticed, etc... oh, and sex.

When I saw this was a .5, I assumed it was a novella. Uh...not! This was more of a substantial book than almost anything I've read in a year. Amazing group dynamics, some great POV swaps and soooo much potential. If this is what happens when two amazing authors decide to write together, I think we should make this a mandat
I agreed with these comments below, I did like the fresh rawness and flawed characters. Too much bubble gum happiness in some of the books lately. But I do like the taste of bubble gum from time to time as well... :--)

LOST IN OBLIVION is an introductory novel that is gritty, graphic and reflects the ugly side of a life style in which many try but fail to succeed. The characters are flawed; some of their choices have failed or proved wrong; but like many in the music industry, they keep

HANDS DOWN...this was an awesome read. This was a perfect sequel. It gave us a backstory of the band mates before they were discovered and gives the reader a great understanding of each character. Unlike other prequel, this is a full-length read so nothing of the story was skimped.

I absolutely loved the story. The characters had real character. Filled with angst and sexual tension as well as typical band drama this was a very entertaining read. I can't wait to start the next installment...which

I love reading a good rock 'n roll novel. I look for quality not quantity. This means I want to know the characters, what inspires them, what drives them to succeed in such a vicious and unforgiving industry. Also, I look for a cohesive story that has a rhythm to it and is well written. Well, I found it in this book.

This is the Pre-Quel to the Lost in Oblivion Series by Cari Quinn. It is straight-forward, raw, without the trappings of fantasy. Yes, it is a work of fiction, but the plot line and
Wow! What an amazing way to start a new series about rockstars and their band Oblivion! Co-authors Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott "rocked" it in this prequel, Seduced, and all I can say is I want MORE. If you have never been to a rock concert like myself, these two authors did a terrific job describing the going-ons in the music world, the behavior of struggling rockstars trying to make a name for themselves, and the behind the scenes shenanigans. The scenes were well-written and descriptive and y ...more

This is a very mature story with adult themes that may not be appreciated by other readers. Seduced is the story of the rise of a band that started with two best friends who played guitars to forget about their troubled home lives as kids. Adding and subtracting band members and a You Tube video rising in popularity started opening doors for these five young people.

The story is well-written but it was a little difficult for me to read. Each band member has their own demons to battle and some of

Holy crap…seriously that’s was the first thing that crossed my mind when I finished Seduced by atruegemawardCari Quinn and Taryn Elliott. This new adult novel is the prequel to the Lost In Oblivion series but it is a FULL LENGTH story and although it’s told from the POV of two of the original band members you understand and get the full view of the total band. Oblivion is a struggling band hoping to make it big when their drummer is

Seduced is about the band Oblivion that hasn't quite made it yet. They have a few gigs but nothing major. The band members look for a drummer and manage to find a dynamic duo (Gray and Jazz) that are just what they needed. Though it starts out rocky between the band members, they quickly adapt and make compromises so the band can succeed without major issues.

Simon is a love em and leave em type of guy. He's the type of band member that I've read about oh so often, yet this time it was different.
: SEDUCED is the first storyline in the contemporary New Adult series Lost in Oblivion co-authored by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott. As an introductory storyline SEDUCED reveals the history and background and the bands stormy rise to success. We are privileged to watch as Oblivion goes from a house band playing local gigs for beer to a platinum-selling rock group with demons and secrets not quite buried in the past.

The characters are flawed and rough. There is no holding back in this particular s

I give it 4.5 Stars.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Explicit. Before you think I mean it in a bad way I need to stop you because it is not. This book is really a great story with great characters and an even greater plot.
One Band = 4 Guys, 1 Woman = raging hormones and a love for music, and one goal to make it big, but not at the cost of friendship. The main plot of this story and I think the authors did accomplish that in this book. If you look pass the offending word

I'd recently read Cari's Dirty Distractions and loved it, and wondered what this one would be like. Its a prequel to what is going to be a fantastic series Lost in Oblivion, if its anything like this prequel. Cari has teamed up with another author Taryn Elliot for this series and the duo clearly are a great team when it comes to writing.
Dirty Distractions was fabulous but a real HEA romance, whereas Seduced is a much
This book is a full length prequel to a series that will knock your socks off.

It introduces us to the band Oblivion and I think the authors say it best at the beginning of this book when they say "Seduced is the love story of the band Oblivion"

It had me hooked from the beginning and kept me up late reading as I didn't want to put it down. I loved the alternating points of views told from the view of two lifelong best friends Nick and Simon. Even when they fight, they are best friends, and man
A little bit slow to start but I'm glad I persevered as I ended up totally enjoying this book. I loved all the characters in Oblivion, you were introduced to them in a very subtle way so you think you know them and what they are about and then all of a sudden your initial opinion was turned on it's head - I love when that happens!

All the characters are very complex and all appear to have hidden depths, but not in an obvious, 'I saw that coming' way. Even though the story is about a rock band wit
When I saw the offering of reading this book as an arc for a blog tour, I was immediately excited to read this book. I'm definitely a sucker for NA Rock Romances. It's a complete shame that I ended up having to contact the host due to the fact that I could not review this book in a manner that would make it appropriate for a tour.

I'm actually fairly confused by all the high ratings on this book. I feel like I must have read something completely different than all these five stars. I mean, this r
I was provided with a copy of this boom by the authors to provide an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book once I got into it, at first if I'm honest I wasn't too sure as I'm totally in my rockstar romance phase and couldn't quite get my teeth into it, but I'm glad I kept going and got a feel for the characters it was worth it!

The story follows a group of young guys trying to catch a break in the tough rock world, things aren't going great with their drummer in rehab for drug addiction, what

I was surprise that I liked this book about music, boys in man’s bodies trying to make it big in the music-Rock Star industry.

But I really liked how each chapter switch off back and forth from Nick to Simon so that we got to see what they were doing or thinking at that same moment which was awesome.

The two band mates are best friends and they are what we call opposites. They compliments each other and have something that the other doesn’t have but work very w

USA Today bestselling author Cari Quinn wrote her first story—a bible parable—in 2nd grade, much to the delight of the nuns at her Catholic school. Once she saw the warm reception that first tale garnered, she was hooked. Now she gets to pen sexy romances for a living and routinely counts her lucky stars. When she’s not scribbling furiously, she can usually be found watching men’s college basketba ...more
