First thoughts : Quick read for young adult readers. Story moved too fast. Not enough character development. Unrealistic elements to the story.

Synopsis; Our main character Ava is getting ready to go to her high school graduation with her best friend, her boyfriend and his twin. Ava is excited to get on with her life away from high school as she and the gang are planning to live together while attending the same college. However things turn for the worse when the gang get to graduation. Sudden

Since this book is about summer, reading this can be compared to a time when you first set your feet on a beach you've never been before. You don't know the people, the twists and turn of the place and how the waves on that part of the ocean would come to you.

Whenever I embark on a new reading that is always the exact feeling that I get but each experience is greatly different from the other. A Summer To Remember is a read that is filled with never ending unexpected turn of events. I know, I alr

The Low Down: The four-year-long relationship between Ava and Jason is over. Breaking up with her right before their high school graduation ceremonies, Ava is shocked to discover that Cally, the girl that caused the on again/off again portion of their relationship, is back in town. This was supposed to be the best summer of their lives, and it has turned into something else completely.

Then Ava meets Adrian at a frat party. There is an undeniable connection between them, but he’s leaving for a dr

A Summer to Remember is a beautiful romance story that will will wrap itself around your heart. Ava’s summer has not started out very well. Graduation was suppose to be this thrilling and freeing experience, but her boyfriend decided to dump her for another girl on their way to the ceremony. When her best friend suggests they stick with their plan to go to the annual frat party Ava throws caution to the wind and decides she was going to have a great time no matter what. During a game of beer pon ...more
Wow. Definitely one of the weirdest books I've read in awhile. So, sooooo many things that I just didnt get. First, Ava's 18 and this guys 22? What on earth do a high school graduate and a college graduate have in common? They almost never spoke, and the book was mostly filled with Ava and Lilly's conversations. Also, she moves in with him after 2 dates? And her parents are all like "Whatevs" about it? I know for a fact, 18 or not, my parents would not let me move in with a dude I only knew for ...more

...more

I have to say I loved this book!! I love Adrian he is just so perfect! and I love how Ava didn't just get stuck to Jason, I get annoyed with female characters who the male is trying to push away and they are like no I love him, can't love no one else. Not so real life! They are a lot fishes on the pond, lol. Can't wait for book 2!

Adrian doesn't waste any time in going after what he wants and I find that extremely attractive, "okay, this may sound strange since we just met, but I want you to know something. I like you. I don't know what happened the night we met, but something told me you were different than any girl I've ever met. There was just something I can't really explain, but I have to tell you because we leave tomorrow and I don't know if I'll get another chance. I knew I would regret it if I didn't. Sorry if tha ...more
I was super excited to get the opportunity review A Summer to Remember! I couldn’t wait to dive in and read it.

As I was reading it I kept thinking, yep, it was what I was looking forward to! Ava was cute and sweet. She gets her heart broken graduation day and meets Adrian (cool name by the way!!!!) and they fall in love (yeah, not so much on the insta love, but I can deal with it. I was a little skeptical that her parents let her have as much freedom with Adrian (who had graduated college) as th

I have mixed emotions about this book. It was decent. The writing was good and there weren't mistakes to distract.

That being said, there were a few spots that lulled but I liked the story. The romance was great. I really enjoyed getting to know the characters too. Jessica did a great job developing wonderful characters.

I wanted to know what was going to happen with Ava and Adrian so bad!!!! And then. The book just ended. The story didn't resolve any loose ends at all. I was so disappointed. O

I won this book through a giveaway and was not sure I would like it at first. Boy was I wrong! I couldn't stop listening to it! Caught up in the characters, I found myself laughing and enjoying every minute of it. I was disappointed that it was such a short listen though. I wanted more and was not please that it ended so quickly. Now, I'm anticipating the sequel Seasons, #2!

a pretty short book about first loves and broken hearts, bee relationships and super fast advancement (ie. moving in together, sleeping together, saying I love you)...very good as far as plot and drama, story could have been a little longer to drag out the "milestones" in the new relationship. I enjoyed both Ava and Adrian even Ava and Adrian's friends were alright....I felt the passion between Ava and Adrian even if they didn't really have a converstaion and get to know each other....I gave it ...more

This is a great book and I really hope there is going to be another one. On the day of her high school graduation, Ava is broken up with by her boyfriend of 4 years. She goes to a Frat Party that night and meets Adrian, he just graduated from college. Adrian goes after what he wants with Ava. Adrian is a great boyfriend and he really loves Ava and tries to be as sweet as he can be and supportive to her. I'm really looking forward to the next book because it has to continue with the way it ended.

I hate it when models on the cover don't represent the characters in the book:

"I always loved this top because it fit all my best features perfectly, but wasn’t too revealing in the chest. Not like I had much to show, anyway."

If Ava doesn't have big breasts, why does the model looks like she's a B or a even a C?

A model so thin with huge breasts, is out of proportion.
I'm not saying she isn't pretty it's just not reality.

Coming from a girl who has very small breasts
I loved this story!

Despite Ava having had a very recent bad breakup, Ava and Adrian have an instant connection to each other that they both want to pursue.

They are so lovely together, but they still have their ups and downs and jealous moments like any other couple.

I am really looking forward to reading the next book (view spoiler)

The was a very cute story, waiting for part 2. Your on/off again boyfriend of 4 years dumps you right before graduation. He dumps you for the same reason he always does, yep time to move on. I would so have done what she did, party yep I'm there who wouldn't be. If some hot dude you felt a connection with followed me around, hell ya bring it on. Taking chances is what life is about. Good book
I loved it! Can't wait to read the next. Just when I was getting to love Adrian it had to end. I can't wait to see if Ava and Adrian's relationship shows how passionate they seem to be. Easy to read, but not boring. Kept me interested to the end and I read in about 4 hrs.
I really hope Adrian puts that hoebag Sam in her place and doesn't offer her "friendship" or anything else - he obviously knows she's trouble so to offer anything but a firm "eff-you, skank" would be the worst decision ever. >_<

A Summer to Remember by Jessica Gunhammer is a nice teen romance book. It has a good storyline and great characters. Is a fun easy to read book. I found the characters life style a bit too mature for their ages.

Loved this book. It was a really sweet story. It was a little sad towards the end considering they had to separate with hardly any time being together. Can't wait to see what comes next. Def one you want to read.
Some parts are very unrealistic like whose parents would be so cool and open to someone your daughter just met. Mine would not! I can't even think I could ask my parents to move in with someone a month after my high school graduation!

Also, how can someone jump into a serious relationship that quick after a very tiring, on-off 4-year relationship? Hmmm. Don't you want to relive the easy-going single life first?

Am I too old for this kind of romance??? I used to love reading young love but the way
Good light read. Geared for the young adult. Series. Good writing and flowed easily. Would recommend it but just not a "you have to read this'.
Definitely not what I was expecting. It was okay, but had so much more potential. You can find the full review at
It was really good ! I love every character (Adrian more) but I think everything went to fast. Still, I will read the other book.
Good easy read, but left wanting more at the end. I liked both characters, but some more depth would have been great. Overall enjoyable!
