Universe Horribilis is an excellent title for this anthology of tales in which an 'Uncaring or Hostile Universe' is pretty much a featured character, with plenty of examples of Murphy's Law, or Sod's Law, in action: "if anything can go wrong, it will." This excellent collection is satisfyingly strong on irony, and provides a great variety of stories.

Once again, it's another great idea for an anthology, along with some great cover art. It's nice to read something that isn't the standard John Joseph Adams' same people/same stories kind of anthology.
This anthology has some really strong stories. Quarantine was the perfect opening to the collection. Concerning That Whole God Thing was another bit of sci-fi fun. Other strong entries were The Eleanor Effect (for real, though, right?), Princess Thirty-Nine, Whimper (probably the strongest of all
