Experience Thailand of the late 1960s as Burgess Needle guides you through this thoughtful collection of poems recounting the sights, sounds, tastes, and aromas of villages he travelled.
He begins on a bus with little grasp of the language, yet engages with a Buddhist monk who encourages him to study more. Needle soon finds himself amid rice paddies and the locals he’ll soon meet and teach.
