Penola and Lennon are self absorbed and shallow, but that does not mean they can’t have a perfect marriage, courtesy of the many rules that Penola has gotten from her Mother (and a few she made up herself I think). The rules govern her every move to make her marriage “perfect” and Lennon better wake up and realize his wife is dedicated to her marriage to the point where she might need a new address where the walls are much softer and they don’t let you have shoestrings..

She and Lennon have been married a month so have decided to have an island getaway. No business, plenty of sex and hopefully is she follows the rules some time to do the things she wants.

I enjoyed this witty dark comedy it even got a belly laugh out of me. I liked the tongue in cheek (not to be taken seriously but unfortunatelytrue, well some of them anyway :-) ) old school ideas of how a wife should behave. I love how the author turned this into a black comedy, and also threw a bit of Laurel and Hardy into the mix. A witty, entertaining read. ...more
