Jace and Tara have annoyed one another for quite some time. Jace thinks his best friend's little sister is beyond annoying with her foul mouth and flippant attitude and Tara thinks Jace is overbearing and obnoxious and then they end up being traveling companions on the Central States Rodeo Circuit and the gloves are off... or are they on?

When the car that Tara purchases to help her complete her sports medicine internship decides to die, Tara is left at the mercy of Jace Mills who needs to get ou

From Joseph's fried bologna sandwiches, to following the rodeo circuit, to a crazy ex-girlfriend, to sweet, hot lovin' Cat Johnson's third entry in her Oklahoma Nights series, Three Weeks With a Bull Rider has it all.

I can't say that I "fell in love at first sight" with the two main characters, Jace Mills and Tara Jenkins. Both were secondary characters in Cat's previous book in the series, Two Times As Hot. Neither came across in that book as particularly lovable characters. Jace was annoying b

Squirm baby squirm

I just LOVE it when a book makes me squirm in my seat when I read it. God god I was blushing during the sex scenes. I think I actually had to stop & fan myself with my iPad.
Cat Johnson you are a master at being so descriptive and explicit with your sex scenes. I actually felt I was there with Jace & Tara - mmmm maybe that's the reason I was squirming and blushing!!

Now enough about the "sex" talk! This book is about two brok

In the third book in her Oklahoma nights series…Cat Johnson delivers a book with a story that really surprised me. I didn’t know how the story was going to end so I was truly surprised to find out how much I really enjoyed it (and how much I came to like Tara).
Three Weeks With A Bull Rider focus on Jace Mills and Tara Jenkins. Two people that have been “friends” for the sake of Tara’s brother Tucker, who is also best friends with Jace. They have always traded insults with each other so imagine

Jace is having big problems with his ex-girlfriend and decides to get out of town for a while and follow on the rodeo circuit. Tara is excited for her internship with the rodeo but when the car she just purchased breaks down, she wonders how she’ll be able to complete it.

Jace offers Tara a ride since they’ll be traveling the same circuit. Tara is beyond thrilled and despite her and Jace’s hate/hate relationship, she is thankful she can start her internship. However, the idea doesn’t sound so goo

In Book Three of Cat Johnson's Oklahoma Nights Series, we find an unlikely couple. Unlikely especially since in book two Two Times as Hot (see review HERE) they were unlikable. And yet, these two individuals had some growing up to do, had some realizations to meet and just had to get away from their regular world. In doing this they discovered that there was much more to both of them than either had imagined.

Tara Jenkins has been

I really have to work more Cat Johnson books onto my to-read pile. With Three Weeks with a Bull Rider she managed to take two characters I cared very little about from the two previous Oklahoma Nights books and give them a romance that I wanted to work out for them.
Let’s be honest here I strongly disliked the childish Tara from Two Times as Hot. It didn’t take me too long to really start enjoying her character this go round though. She’s young and trying to do things on her own, in her own way

A great read, loved every minute of it.
Jace and Tara don't get along, they never have but when her car gives out he offers to give her a ride and be her travel buddy so she can finish her sports medicine internship as he has to get out of town and on the road away from a broken relationship that won't go away, and do some bull riding for a while.
They decide on a truce as they are to be together for three weeks but the truce becomes more intimate then sexual even though Jace refuses to go all the

I love cowboy romances whether they're contemporary or historical. I love the rodeo cowboy storyline and find it very interesting since I don't know the first thing about it. The risks they take with their bodies, their relationships and their families. That being said, I was super excited to read this book.

Jace Mills is a veteran rodeo cowboy on a somewhat of a winning streak. He's fairly successful because of his winnings and his normal job of landscaping. He has been in an on-again off-again

Oh how I love this series. Cat Johnson did a great job with Jace and Tara's story. I loved the witty banter between them and the chemistry is off the charts.
These two do not automatically fall into the nearest bed like the couples from the previous books in the series did. They built up to it and formed a friendship of sorts first.
Although Tara was my least favorite character from Two Times as Hot, I really enjo

Three Weeks with a Bull Rider, the final novel in the Oklahoma Nights trilogy, is refreshingly unique, deliciously sensuous and full of surprises. In this outing, Cat Johnson effortlessly accomplishes what has to be one of THE most difficult things an author must do: transform a previously unlikable character into one that readers will not only love but one that they will root for 110 percent. Thankfully, in Ms. Johnson's talented and capable hands, Tara Jenkins becomes a heroine that

Tara can’t believe her luck. She emptied her savings to buy a car so she could do an internship and finish her sports medicine degree and now she needs a new engine. How is she going to spend three weeks traveling the rodeo circuit and complete her internship? Jace can not take being in the same town as his ex-girlfriend any longer, one minute she wants him around the next she is throwing a lamp at him. To avoid her Jace suggests Tara and he be

I have been a fan of this series since the first books came out last year. In fact I wanted to hop a plane to Oklahoma and come and see all these sexy cowboys for myself, because they way Cat Johnson describes them....wow!!!

So this is the story of Jace and Tara. Jace is Tuck's best friend and Tara is Tuck's baby sister. Jace has been in a difficult relationship for the past couple of years with a girl who is rather unstable. Tara has been in love with Logan (Tuck's oth

I loved this book. It's the story of Tara, Tucks sister, who has always had a crush on Logan, Tucks brother-in-law. Logan married Tuckers wife Becca's sister Emma. Tara didn't take the news well.
Jace who use to bull ride with Tucker and are best friends, offered to take Tara with him for the three weeks while she finishes her internship with the rodeo doctor. Jace needed to get away from his psycho girl Jacqueline who for years they had a on again off again relationship.

Hot damn I love me some Cat Johnson. Cat writes some of the best cowboys around and she never disappoints. I went into this one a little unsure. Jace and Tara haven't been the most lovable characters in the previous books in this series, but Cat manages the seemingly impossible and made me like them. Not only did I like them, I even wanted them both to be happy! lol Tara turned out to be a lot of fun. Yeah she acted a little imm

I love this series!!! Totally discovered Cat Johnson on Net Galley when I tried out the first in this series. And Jace has been in both of the other books…and man oh man did I love him and want to punch his ex-girlfriend in the face!

Jace is the real deal. He is a real cowboy, rodeoing, working with his buddy training up and coming rodeo boys, and always there for his friends. Tara works hard and tries to go it on her own. She is finishing up school and her last project is an unpaid internship wi

Three Weeks with a Bull Rider was not what I expected. It was better. Ms. Johnson bleeds reality and fiction together for a wonderful story. Jace and Tara are enemies turned lovers but, more than that they healed each other in the process. What was once physical therapy to help them get over their respective heartbreaks turned into a deeper, and more seated relationship than either of them was ready for. This book was refreshing in so many ways- it was a nice break from the ever present angst in ...more

If you have been reading the Oklahoma Nights series by Cat Johnson then you are probably familiar with Jace Mills and Tara Jenkins. Both have been seen in previous books so some of their background is known. If not i think you can still figure out what's been going on with them enough in past books to follow along. Jace has a crazy ex girlfriend he can't seem to stay away from. She's a ex that still controls him in a lot of ways. He's finally sick of it and decides to go on the rodeo circuit for

Jace he has what I like to call mood swings, one minute he's all flirty, "no worries. I'm good. I don't get hurt too often. Though I did have that groin pull last year. You got a special treatment for that?" Jace grinned." Then he can be a real a** "it's nothing. I'm just doing her a favor. She's nobody to me." Jace let out a huff of breath. "Jacqueline, I swear to you I'm telling the truth." And then there's Tara good lord I loved her, "you know. What happens to men in the morning. Down there." ...more

One thing about Cat Johnson’s Oklahoma Night series is it gets hotter in every book and cowboy. I love reading about Cat Johnson’s books because she always brings the previous characters back in each new book. I felt sorry for Tara about Logan and Jace with his ex yet in a way it makes them closer to one another in a way that is like wow. It all started in first grade when Cat Johnson won the essay contest at Hawthorne Elementary School and got to ride in the Chief of Police's car in the Memorial Day Parade...and the rest, as they say, is history. As an adult, Cat generally tries to stay out of police cars and is thrilled to be writing for a living. She has been published under a different name in the Young Adult genre, but release ...more
