Interesting facts and stories, but a rather dry read.
However, makes our 2010 life-style here at YPG seem like a luxurious vacation compared to 1910.
I'll take 2010 any day!

Interesting facts of hardships and loneliness of military spouses; especially in this time frame. Was a dry read though; but poignant at times.

A very interesting book with a lot of personal narratives. I wish the book had a greater variety of women in it though.

Not my usual, but Anne Bruner Eales did a wonderful job choosing interesting stories to share and combining them into a seamless nonfiction book.
