This is another one of those stories where I ended up having a real problem with the heroine, Layla. She seems to equate being ripped off in an investment scam as being equally devastating as having suffered child abuse. The amount of times it got mentioned in the story was absurd. I also wasn't really a fan of the way she kept pushing the hero, Drake, for the truth about his past, only to then claim that she didn't want him to be uncomfortable.
