Very important book on the Reformed liturgical tradition. Answers a lot of the "whats" and "whys" of Reformed liturgy. Old is a great historian and scholar, especially when it comes to Reformation history. So he does not lack the background that is needed for a study like this. Very good.

I really appreciated and enjoyed this book.

Pretty good overview of the historic liturgy of the reformed church... I imagine many reformed churches today wouldn't recognize what this looks like.
