"Deadly Audit": is the first in a series called "A Buckeye Barrister Mystery" by an author who practiced management labor law for 35 years and is now retired to FL to "sleep or write mysteries". The book was a gift from the author as one of the "Goodreads" giveaways.

Told in 1st person by a lawyer who weighs over 300 pounds and has friendships with one woman who can hack computers and another who performs accounting for his practice.

Suddenly he get one gigantic account from a socialite that prom

Won this book in giveaway and looking forward to future writings. Very impressed with this first book for this author. Quirky and fun. A touch of a Janet Evanovich, Stefanie Plum mystery series which I love. Only complaints would be sometimes lengthy religious pages which could be one paragragh and becomes boring briefly. Also many overly wordy street directions which seem unimportant. All in all a good first book by D. Selcer.

I won this book in the Goodreads first book giveaway.

This is one of those quick start beginnings that you can't put down until you have finished the book. I love the main character he is not one of the tall, buffed, good looking characters you usually find in a story but more the average joe with some quirks that make you like him immediately.
I can't wait for the next book in the series.

I got this book through the Prime Lending Library. It is the second one of the Barrister mysteries I have read and I thought this one was even better than the last one. Unfortunately it had 9 errors that I found, keeping it out of the 5 star rating. Still a fun story even if it does need proofing.

Author Dave Selcer captured my attention immediately in Deadly Audit, and I couldn't put this book down until I finished it. The central character, an Ohio lawyer, is just quirky enough without being over the top. The story has just enough turns to stay interesting throughout. An enjoyable read.
