Dan Yaccarino uses his colorful, stylized illustrations to add a 1950s style urban edge to 34 classic Mother Goose rhymes. CIP/Summary:Traditional Mother Goose rhymes set in the city, such as when Mary's Little Lamb hails a cab to follow her to school.
Yaccarino's modern, stylized illustrations update the traditional nursery rhymes by adding bright colors and a twentieth century urban setting. This is a fun read for ages 3-7.
Favorably reviewed in SLJ.
