This book is about a school that goes on an overnight field trip, not just any overnight felid trip, one to the "haunted caves". Olivia, Tim, Kristy, and Bobby all feel ready for the caves, but are they really? As they go on their tour if the caves they seem to go off path into a maze, "Its gonna be fun" is what they all think but when each passage leads to a different nightmare of the person going into the maze then maybe it isn't as fun as they thought it would be. I like this book because it ...more

Nice for a little thrill. I could relate to the cave setting from visiting a tourist cave.
The feelings of personal fears and how they can have a hold on a person is very realistic and symbolic at the end.
This was a really nice book. Let me first tell you the good things:

1. Scary past story for the caves (creeped me out).
2. Scary motel close to the caves (things happening even there).
3. That souvenir shop gave me the heebie-jeebies, especially when they got those gift bags and each of them got their worst fears in a bag.
4. The characters (at least for a bit), they were fun, interesting and I was hoping for certain events to happen.
5. The maze part and the truth about it. I was just shivering the

This book, while just slightly over predictable was SCARY!
Pj Night nicely uses foreshadowing technics, along with using common fears. At the beginning of the book, we get a slight insight on what will happen later on as well as what the characters main fears were. She beautifully plays on fears that are easily relatable such as clowns, moths, heights, and fire. Roughly the center of the book we get to see the story from other characters point of view. I could truly relate to the character Tim a

Fans of R.L. Stine will surely love books by P. J. Night. I found myself entranced by each of the characters. We learned about each of the characters before the mystery began to unfold. I do not believe that kids will find this story predictable or boring. There is a mixture of male and female characters that make the book appropriate for any gender. The story itself was very well written and easy to follow along with and get engrossed into. I am looking forward to reading more books by P. J. ...more

I gave this one a 5 star rating because it really creeped me out.

Lesson learned, never read about a cave in the dark! I watched a movie once, and can not remember the name, where 7 friends went on a cave exploration and ran into some monsters who killed them off one by one with the exception of the last 2. The whole time I read this book all I kept thinking about was that movie. Not a good movie to see when A. You're afraid of the dark and B. You're claustrophobic.

Either way, this is one of th

This one book definitely creeped me out. Full of irony too. I hate heights and can't stand clowns. I wish it had a more resolved ending but it was a good story.

Do you want to be scared? What is your worst fear? This book seems to play up to the worst fears of the four main characters, seventh graders, who are on a field trip to a cavern.

Who would go in an unknown cave, split up from the group, come across a maze in the cave, and think that it's a good idea to go in that maze?!
