I loved Throwing Heat from it's easy to love characters and the steamy romance between Leslie and Peter.
Both of them were fantastic and adorable to read. And this is my first book from Jennifer Seasons, and definitely will not be the last!

Another fun addition to the Diamonds and Dugouts series. Loved the witty banter between the Rush's pitcher, Peter Kowalskin, and Leslie Cutter, whose brother is on the Rush team.

Throwing Heat was the one Diamonds and Dugouts novel I was looking forward to the most! I loved Stealing home, it was funny and sexy and romantic. Playing the Field was sweet and heart warming. But ever since I started this series I have gotten little glimpses of this couple, Leslie and Peter, and have become enamored with their story. What started as little side glances turned into lingering stares packed with intense heat. From lingering stares turned intense heat became stolen moments alone a ...more

We've been pretty excited for Leslie and Peter's book since Stealing Home. Did it live up to your expectations?

Andrea: It did! I've always thought Leslie was a ton of fun, Peter too. And the chemistry between them was so hot even in the first two books. I just knew Throwing Heat would be great.

Autumn: I loved it! I love Peter AND Leslie. What did you think of the prologue? I always wondered about how their chemistry originated.

Andrea: I loved the prologue. I assumed their "beginning" wa

Love this entire series but this one was definitely my favorite! Peter Kowalskin is one dead sexy ballplayer but he is an even better human being. The man he lets the world see is arrogant, cocky, and carefree. The real man is intelligent, studious, and at the end of his career. The chemistry between Peter and Leslie Cutter is off the charts, but because of a bet they made, it's hands off for the next thirty days.

Great banter and incredible sexual tension make this one explosive story. You defin

3.5 stars for that Yankee voice. I enjoyed this quick, easy and fun read. Hey, it's about an NLB team and the Boys of Summer. What's not to like? This entire series is fun. Each book could be a stand alone, but the same characters run throughout each book so it's better to read the entire series. This one is Peter Kowalskin's and Leslie Cutter's story. Two very independent and strong characters that have a history and incredible chemistry.

The prologue clears up the "why" and "what the heck" que

Man, Peter Kowalskin is one sexy baseball player! *fans self*

This was a really quick, sexy easy read. I liked the whole set-up with the bet idea and the UST that came from that - and oh the whole pole-dancing class moment!!!

I liked the way Peter had accepted that this was going to be his last season but at the same time felt that more could have been made of it.

There were a couple of things I would have liked to see resolved: Peter's feelings and relationship with his newly discovered brother a

The title of this book may apply to our hero, Peter's pitching career, but there's a lot of heat going on here. Lots of heat!

This book is so full of sexual tension that by the time you are finished you'll need a cold shower!

I was prepared to be annoyed by Leslie..she's one of those little spoiled girls that has everything but screws up all the time, but guess what...even though there were times when I did want to slap her upside her pretty head.

She basically has had some bad relationships that h

Having loved the first two in the series, both Stealing Home and Playing the Field, I jumped at the chance to read an ARC of Throwing Heat. Jennifer Seasons writes terrific baseball players, fantastic romances, and some pretty hot scenes if you know what I mean. The third book in the series tells the story of Peter Kowalskin, pitcher of the Denver Rush baseball team and Leslie Cutter, sister of Mark Cutter the Rush’s catcher.

I have enjoyed all three of the Diamonds and Dugouts novels and this one was the best of the three! I have been waiting for Leslie and Peter's story since the first book, Stealing Home and I can say I was definitely not disappointed! There has been a history that you learn about that has been the reason that they have steered clear of each other from the beginning but through the story you see these two people who are afraid to love and get hurt learn to let go and trust that this person won't h ...more

WHAT I LIKED
Leslie Cutter is my kind of woman. My favorite kind of heroine is the one picks herself up after being knocked down and does what she need to do to get back on her feet and Leslie is that in spades. After trusting the wrong guy and paying the price several years ago she's not about to make the same mistake again but she's never stubborn about it like some people can be. I even understood why she was more willing to take a business risk than one with her heart. But Peter was just the

The Diamonds and Dugouts series continues with this third installment that has headstrong main characters, non-stop flirtatious dialogue, and unrelenting sexual tension all wrapped up in a fun and immensely satisfying story. From start to finish I was fully engaged in the outcome of Peter and Leslie's back and forth battle of the sexes and rooted for their HEA every step of the way.

Leslie is good at choosing bad men who walk away from her leaving her to clean up the mess they leave behind. Three

Leslie and Peter were a great couple, you could almost feel the chemistry between them coming off the pages. Throwing Heat was a wonderful story line, my only problem with the book was that the author chose my favorite baseball team to lose to the Rush in the World Series. I'm not taking it personally though, I highly recommend this author and series. Even I'm going to be looking for more of her books.

Great story, great characters and great plot. Leslie is the manager of her brothers nightclub. Peter is the pitcher on the same team as Leslie's brother. They each had an instant attraction to each other when they first met 4 years ago. They make a bet with one another that will change their relationship.

Throwing Heat definitely throws off a lot of heat while reading it! Lesley & Peter clash in a way that is fun and oh so hot. I really liked the "back & forth" between the two of them. Peter is trying oh so hard to force Lesley's hand, by placing them both in situations that bring them together. Meanwhile, Lesley is doing all she can to keep her distance...all of this to win a bet! Of course these situations bring out the best and yes sometimes the worst in both of them. Hey, it wouldn't ...more

This was a pretty good romance. It does start out with a pretty explicit sex scene. It also had a standard "issue".
