This book is a good guide for getting an overview of different sections of the MPEP and providing a layman's intro to what different concepts tested on the Patent bar are. I especially liked the book's explanation about the PCT app examination process, because it presented everything in chronological order nicely. There is also a very useful section in the end of the book that discusses answers to questions that have appeared on the exam. However, one thing to keep in mind as you're going ...more

Unfortunately, with the passing of the America Invents Act, the structure, style, and type of questions asked have drastically changed. Alone, this primer is sufficient to get an idea for the type of thinking required of the patent bar exam. However, it would be imprudent to use solely this book for preparation, seeing as it does not cover any exam material past what is available already to the public.
