I actually bought the Audio version and I'm soooooo glad I did because hearing the actual speeches, just as he gave them, in his own voice was so moving. (Several of them moved me to tears). People rave about Obama's oratory skills, but Reagan was so much better (and more sincere). It is so ironic that our country is in the same place it was when Reagan took office, but he was able to turn things around. by the end of his eight years in office, 16 million jobs were created...not meaningless gove ...more
This book is a great read. It truly shows Reagan's ideology and how great his speechwriting was. Many of his speeches are clear, straightforward, and filled with common sense. I wasn't very political during the Reagan years as I was just getting into High School during the end of his Presidency but after reading this book years later I realized how much of a great person Reagan was.
