The clock is ticking towards Lara’s thirtieth birthday and the whole gang is coming together to celebrate it. It’s a pact they made back then to
meet when they all finally turned 30. So far, so cool. What isn’t cool is the other pact Lara had made one tipsy evening with Nishad. To marry each other if neither of them were hitched by then. The last thing Lara wants is to give

Awesome book alert! This was an absolutely stunning read full of fun and laughter.

The read is about twelve friends, who grew up together and are now embarking on a little reunion of sorts. But each one has a little "secret" so to speak and very soon the reunion turns into one of hilarious events , confessions and just plain absolute craziness.

Because there are so many main characters I am not going to go into detail on each one, but I will say that you will be hooked on each and everyone.

TICK-TOCK WE’RE 30 by author Milan Vohra is a March 2013 release by Westland Books Ltd.

This was a fun story incorporating a group of friends who made a pledge to meet for a reunion on one of the group, Lara’s thirtieth birthday. It was hilarious after that as they all had secrets, broke off and made up.

TICK –TOCK WE’RE 30 is written with warmth and charm. The story is full of fun and hilarity as we go on the journey with this group of friends. It hooked me in as a reader as it is an engrossing

This author needs no introduction to readers of Indian fiction. She is no less a person than the first Indian Mills & Boon author, Her debut novel was THE LOVE ASANA, the first M&B novel containing Indian characters and situations. It was an impressive debut indeed, although at the time I felt that although it worked as an Indian novel, it was way too close to reality to be the escapist type of reading that the M&B reader craves. But then that’s what was so Indian about the book. In ...more

We are reminded of the quirkiness that can be on blatant display when friends get together and irrespective of the age cloud that we may presently be on the memories come out fresh. There are a lot of laughs along the way and inspite of the massive page strength of 402 the cover-to-cover ride is smooth. The narrative doesn’t drop or get boring because there is this impending end you are looking towards – a very Indian romantic climax – you know it is coming – you know it will happen – it is the ...more

Milan Vohra's book, Tick Tock We're 30, blends the style-driven, frothy chick lit with substance-oriented ‘relationships’ novel and ends up giving it a unique flavour all its own.

Delhi-based model coordinator Lara is in a bit of a tizzy. It seems like her gang of friends have not forgotten the pact that they had made: to meet up on her 30th birthday. The problem is the last thing she wants to do is to follow through on the other pact that she had made with Nishad one tipsy evening – to marry eac

Loved Adwaita Kala's 'Almost Single'? Milan Vohra's new chic lit treatise will appeal to your single, morose, sleep-deprived, alone-on-your-29th-birthday heart. You will indulge in the same guffaws, the same smiles, similar awww moments and the annoying 'why-don't-they-kiss-already' Jane Austen hangover that you (unsuccessfully) try to cure with a large chunk of Heidi cranberry dark chocolate, blowing your self-disciplined diet plan to smithereens.

No, but seriously! This girl has the ability to

Tick Tock we’re 30 begins with Miss Lara Bagaai an advertising professional celebrating her 30th birthday as a pact with her college gang ten years back. The snap shot of the book says pretty much about the book. The high points of the book is definitely is that, anyone who is in their twenties or a little more can relate to it. The Dilli flavor comes intact with mention of Sarojoni Nagar, Ghungroo night club and Vasant Kunj. All the characters are richly sketched. There will be always one ...more

The snap shot of this book is more than enough to kindle interest in your mind to read it. Whacky but believable characters, easy-flowing language, hilarious goof-ups, myriad emotions and a gang of friends hook you to this book till its end. The story shifts gear midway and flows smoothly giving way to an enjoyable tale of tangled relationship.

The bunch of friends and their reunion moments would make you nostalgic and might be you can end up whining to meet your old buddies to let the leash free

Quirky and classy

After reading Milan's first book, you are sure to fall in love with this author. And the second one, well, it makes you fall in love with her all over again. An amazing read, the story and the characters in this book are all you can identify with. And in a very subtle and beautiful way, Milan just tells you to never stop hoping, never stop dreaming. Right from the beginning, or rather right from the time you've read the synopsis, you know how the story is going to end-some of i

Tick-Tock. we're 30 is a refreshing read. Woven around friendship the plot touches down on everyday insecurities and oddities the characters face. Guess most of us can relate to growing up with a group of friends in the neighbourhood. Then once we're through university our lives take a different turn and keeping in touch seems impossible as we drift into a space of our own. This book reminds of you of your heyday with the good ol' buddies, transporting you back in time. The reunion of a motley ...more

This book is an amazing work by the author. Her up-beat language is what attracts the readers even more. Although the book is about friendship and a week of hook-ups, Vohra doesn't wander away from her romance writing background (1st Indian author to write for M&B) The characters are easy to relate with and likeable. The romance is sweet, innocent even though they're 30! I love this book for its light drama and easy breezy plot. I recommend this book to all the readers who love the typical ...more

It was a fun read ! I loved the humor , the romance and all that drama .
It maybe predictable; like you know who Lara is going to end up with but it's not the ending that matters what matters is how things get there ... The Journey is the best part . The friendship, the language, the characters all are very real.

TTW30 is like a rom com (if you really have to slot it) . Just a very good read. Very funnily written, a riot of accents, lots of rich characters, you feel like you've got to know them all and miss them when you've finished.
