Firefighters are trained to keep calm in the face of extraordinary events, but James was never prepared for this.

Saving people is a regular practice in a firefighter’s line of work; it is not something extraordinary or unusual. Just routine. James has been trained to respond to emergency calls and what to do in difficult situations. For James, the most important part of he

James Matthews spends her days playing video games with the guys, saving lives, and oh yeah having a secret relationship with her boss, Addison Lee. Despite pressure from Addison, James hasn't come out to her parents or co-workers yet so the relationship stands still. James has continuous nightmares depicting a toddler girl whom she saved from a horrendous fire two years ago. When a second fire occurs and the girl walks away unscathed James begins to question the significance. Enter

What I liked about this book.

* An interesting storyline which I really wasn't excepting.
* I liked Lilly she was cute.
* It was refreshing
I am blessed by being friends with this author. I was able to see this novel from start to finish and got to see bits and pieces as AJ was working on it. I found myself texting AJ in the middle of the night, unable to wait for chapter updates. The story and characters captivated me, especially Addison. I was drawn in from the first chapter and unable to put the book down. I believe you'll feel the same way; with such dynamic characters and dramatic situations, I don't know how you can't be! I normally am not a fan of this genre, but I found this book to be an enjoyable read because it was more based on the element of human emotions and relationships. We end up with two women and a little girl that will steal your heart while being surrounded by secondary characters that are very pleasant to read about as well.
James and Addison are two female firefighters who are in charge of the station. Being in the top ranks of a fire squad is a nice twist to see for females. I enjoyed the balanc

When I read the first chapter, the action and suspense drew me right in. James is trapped in a burning house, trying to find a girl. It turns out to be a dream, which I was really happy about because I just couldn’t see how James was going to make it out alive.

From there, the next several chapters are slower in pace, though there is some action mixed in with the firefighter calls James and the crew answer. I never really knew that firefighters do more health and rescue calls than fire calls, and

This book took some major turns I was not expecting at all !!
It made it exciting and a little confusing but all in all it was a good book and definitely held my interest.

James is a firefighter and works very closely with her best friend Max and her chief Addison. Secret to everyone her and Addison are in a relationship and have been for years. James has nightmares about a little girl she once saved in a fire and as the story starts out you come to realize there is a connectio
