At least 60% of this book was about gold, rather than a more holistic discussion of all the various types of alternative investments. Furthermore, more than half of this book was about the scientific characteristics and history of gold rather than practical advice on how to invest in gold.
The book then briefly discusses investing in jewelry and real estate, but does not delve sufficiently into them to provide the reader with any real insight or comfort over these investment areas.

This book ended up being more of a political statement against various country governments and how they were sinking ships, rather than a true alternative investment guide. Also suspicious of offering name and phone number of investment dealers to contact. Got half-way through, skimmed to the end, and abandoned the book.
