The war against The Blight is over, and the subterranean realms of Nulapeiron have a chance for peace. So what do you think -- is it possible to adequately analyze a sprawling 1,500-page science-fiction epic in a single thousand-word essay? Because that's exactly what I'll be trying to do today, after recently finishing the massive three-book "Nulapeiron Sequence" from author John Meaney, yet another

Wow. Enjoyed this series immensely. Complicated, intricate, bold, imaginative, far-fetched, everything which makes Scifi what it is meant to be. The duality of the tales was irritating at first though the reason for it becomes clear upon conclusion. Very interesting perspective on time, space and everything outside of and in between.

The third and concluding book of the Nulapeiron Sequence lives up to the promise of the prior two books. The Earth story takes a much larger role in this book and the role of the Pilots is reveled. A new and greater evil threatens to destroy Nulapeiron and Tom Corcorigan is again called upon to help save the world at great cost. Filled with deep ideas, a hero to root for, and excellent pacing this is a fitting conclusion to the series. Hopefully there will be more stories from this universe and ...more

John Meaney is now one of my two favorite authors.

Has anyone been at the climax of a movie when some one walks in and stands in front of the screen while trying to talk to you? I felt that way when a friend interrupted me while I was reading this book.

I didn't know you could do that with words on a page...

I recommend starting with "Paradox" (Book 1), before going on to "Context", then "Resolution"
