"We need rules."
"No rules." He planted his knee on the mattress, stretched toward her, and grabbed her ankle. "I told you how it would be between us. I proved how I knew you were the one, the only fucking way I know how. I don't take this lightly. You are the one who gets to see the real me and you agreed."

That was me when I first read the blurb ...

No safe words ... That should be interesting .. At least that's what I thought .

Abuse is not sexy, cute, hot or erotic!

First, I want to explain my two stars, because I feel like I'm being way too generous. I'm giving 2 stars only because the beginning was good and the cover is nice. At the same time, the cover is very misleading and way to vanilla for this type of story.
I thought the story is going to be about tortured hero. It kind of was, but I didn't expected for the story to take a turn to the crazy-town. I was keep hoping that Nathan will snap out of it, but he never d

Ugh. This will teach me not to reach the excerpt first. Another erotic romance that is really nothing more then a story about an abusive man and the Mary Sue he needs, wants, and eventually controls. Hero is a sadomasochistic who bullies heroine into a S&M slave/master relationship. No safe words or contracts are used because he needs it to feel "real."

He paused. "I don't play games. No club scenes, no safe words, no compromise. It's my way and you'll do what I ask of you."

Really? What woma

Just finished reading this book, my first thought? Pick anyone of the latest New Adult Heroes: Knight, Jesse, Horse, Deuce, etc...but on steroids! Both H and h were very dysfunctional, he needed to inflict pain to feel, and she didn't know what it was to have attention, so she thought that his attention was love. There is something seriously wrong with people who think that pain equals love, specially when she tried to save others from that fate, yet she felt loved when it was inflicted upon her ...more

DNF - Horrific ugly book that I recommend to no one. I love to read and will usually read anything I can get my hands on. However:

The H is a sadist. He abuses the h and I find nothing romantic or nice about it. He thinks he is going too fast for the h and is scaring her away, he has sex with h and then he leaves and goes and hires a prostitute and proceeds to beat the heck out her. This is the point where I am done. No redeeming this H...I can honestly say this book made me sick.

I'm feeling a bit guilty at being the first one to review this book here on Goodreads, because I didn't like it.

It was the first book I read written by Abby Wood, and given the blurb, I thought I'd like it.
Addison Flint is a businesswoman, running a successful business providing clients with a passenger when they need to use carpool lane : Carpool Dolls. When she meets Nate Rafferty, Portland most elegible bachelor and powerful CEO, the chemestry is undeniable. As they begin a relationship, sh

This book does NOT deserve a review but a few choice sentences....
This book is sick...
It is loose and doesn't stay on track, the character development is seriously lacking.....
I judged this book by its cover and the summary, it was not up to even close to meeting my lowest expectations.....
Like two different story's with 4 different main characters crammed together and forced to fit, to become only 2 characters with different personalities, If this was a piece of art it would cause all onlookers

Not sure what I have just read?! This book was not a romance or even about a relationship it was just about a man need control and treating his partner like crap. Not my cup of tea at all! He didn't have any redeeming qualities.

Hurting to feel is a very quick read. I have not read allot of BDSM erotica but from what little I have read and from reviews I have read on other popular books in the genre; I would classify this as a BDSM-lite erotic romance. The 2 main characters Nathan and Addy are pretty fucked up; and that is not in any way a comment on their sexual inclinations. Their issues are much bigger and run much deeper; with an offshoot of their general fucked-up'edness being that neither really understands or has ...more

Ok when I bought this book there where two reviews one five stars one one star.

I give it 2

I don't have a problem with the sexual exploration in this book my issues where well one the H was always going then promising to stay and then the next sentence going an then stay and then going, and seriously it goes on and on. The entire book is her freakin going and then coming back.

It's not really sexually explicit in my opinion more like, ooh he's rough and I like it, he held my hips harrrd.

And then

I did a lot of skipping around in the book. I don't know if it was the style of writing or the story line altogether. Eventually I just skipped to the end and was thoroughly happy I did not waste any more time reading this book. Maybe the author was going for the wow factor, but in the end there was really nothing enjoyable or entertaining about this book. I am very happy I did not spend money on it, I would have be very unhappy if I did.

I am not sure what exactly I read. This book had a lot of potential but it was all over the place. The leading male in this book had all this anger and you never really knew why. He was over protective to the point it was almost psychotic. The leading female was just as nuts. She was weak and unsure of herself. This book could have been a lot better it had the right ingredients but it fell short, im still trying to figure out WTH I just read.

I went into this book with low or no expectations. The previous reviews were not great, BUT I found it to be a good story of 2 broken individuals needing each other to heal. This book is not for the faint of heart and is not a all good, feel good love story, but it is a good glimpse into S&M and I found I quite enjoyed this book and the Author.

First and foremost, this book is not for everybody. I had to suspend my personal preferences to really enjoy the story. Hurting to Feel is not a "love" story by any stretch of the imagination. Instead, its about the finer points of "S&M". Once I got over how I just absolutely, positively COULDN'T hang in that type of relationship, I enjoyed the story.

The story had potential it started out good and turned out really bad as in there was abuse, it's not cute hot or sexy it's downright wrong.
