This is an excellent reference book for anyone who is involved in model trains in a serious way. If you have, or want to have, a permanent layout with lots of rolling stock, locomotives, and complex trackwork, you will find yourself in need of maintaining, repairing, fixing, and upgrading your models. Unfortunately, most model train manufacturers do not really include "how to" guides that help you fix your models.
