WTF!!! Is all I can say!!!! Fly Boogie....SMH...
Good book. Hope we don't have to wait 2 years for part 6.
I have read "All" of the Cartel books. As a matter of fact, I have read "All" of Ashley and JaQuavis' books. And let me tell you, the writing is exquisite. I have been reading for many years, and I have read many authors; but, these books are great. I had no knowledge of some of the terminology used in the writing. I didn't realize that these things were happening in our community until I began discussing these books. I say "kudos" to you Ashley and JaQuavis. You make me want to write! Can't wai ...more
I think the book was really good but it could've been a lot better. It basically was a recap of C4. And just when it was getting good it ended so abruptly. I like that Aries is back. She was definitely needed. Also Breeze and her stuck-up, baby-fied, entitled self needs to go!!!! I wish they would just killer her off or let her get kidnapped again. She brings absolutely nothing to this series or book with all her whining. If it weren't for Aries she wouldn't have her man back. Leena and Monroe; ...more
I must say it was well worth the wait! There was one character mix up but it didn't hurt the book. Even though Miamor was the only one built for their situation, her, Leena and Breeze all stepped up when it was needed the most. I didn't like Yasmine at all! She felt as if she could have whatever or whoever she wanted all because of who her father was. I had to give it to her though because she was persistent as hell. Carter should've listened to Monroe and Zyir when it came to Yasmine. Miamor ha ...more
Long live The Cartel & The Murder Mamas. Part 5 of this amazing series pick up where part for 4 left and delivered an amazing storyline. Any fan of the series will enjoy this new addition.

How you gone do me like dat...... Ok here's the deal. The book starts off in the present day....then goes back and tells the history of what happened to bring everyone to the current day. That being said...the book doesn't really really pick up till the middle and then the end just kind of has you skipping potty breaks to make sure you can read read read....

Definite cliff hanger that makes you think that the series should not end here....
UGH.... Trying my best not to give out sp
Ok I'm going to scream! ****SPOILER***its not the end!? OK end of spoiler! I never thought the rat was who it is. And Mia is lethal! Carter obviously didn't realize a Murder Mama's potential. Everything that happened was a result of his bad decisions. He should've never let things got that far. I'm so mad but the book was so good. I just hate it's going to be about a year before the next one comes out.

I started The Cartel series three years ago and I absolutely fell in love with all the characters especially my girl Breeze. It showed how a crime family rises above the ashes and comes out shining like a Diamond.

I absolutely loved how the ladies (Leena, Breeze and Miamore) were able to hold things down for their men when they thought that they were dead.

I couldn't stand Yasmine's vindictive ass she was trying to break up Carter and Miamore but in the end she got wh
Ok, so the more I read , especially toward the end...I was like this is gonna officially be the very last Ashley & Jaquavis book I read...I was like ain't no way they would let it go down like that...but as always they never disappoint...but dang I don't want to wait another 2 years for book 6 uhhhh....I gotta find out what's gonna go down...smh...#TeamCarter

Once again, Ashley and JaQuavis (aka The Dynamic Duo) have wowed their readers with the latest installment of the The Cartel series and left us wanting more. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us next!

I want more!!!
I really tried to enjoy this book but I was very disappointed. I dont think I will continue this series. the storyline has gotten really old & over the course of 5 books the characters have not progressed either.

This one drove me crazy because it was so much going on. Carter really pissed me off, they can't never tell the truth even when they know they should. He should have called Yasmines dad and sent her behind back home but he was too busy thinking money when he knew the girl was trouble and Miamors temper was gone send her into death mode. Now Leena stepped into her role and was killing them with the ability to make money and business moves and I love the way her and Money brought it together.Breez ...more
A New Beginning

Looks like The Cartel just will not die! Thankfully there are a couple of new characters in Jasmine (Saudi daughter of the man who keeps Carter & company safe while Miamor monetarily saves the day), FlyBoogie - the new lovesick puppy for Miamor, and the reemergence of Aries, an original murda mama. Leena and Breeze get a fair amount of play, as the scenes switch between Vegas and Saudi as the girls build a legit money casino while the men serve some time. This installment was

I have been waiting for a long time to read this book, I can't wait until it is released.

What a great comeback after the disappointment that was Cartel 4. Ashley and Jaquavis continue to lead the urban fiction pack with entertaining, fun, and well written urban books. The gritty Cartel drama continues with the boys hiding out in Saudia Arabia from a Fed case, and the girls picking up and not only saving their men from a lifetime of prison, but building and expanding their Diamond Empire to Vegas. All the favorite characters are back, and a new personal favorite is added (FlyBoogie). ...more

This is a 5 star read it has everything thing that you can hope for in a book. It continues where book 4 left off and it just keep on improving with each book I hope this series never in there is plenty of action going on at every turn of the pages the characters are real to life and Ashley and JaQuavis are masters at telling a story. I recommend not only The Cartel series but all book that Ashley and JaQuavis have written together and separate you can't go wrong, I know because I hav
It was an okay read for me. Here's why. As long as it tok to get this installment of the saga (2+ years), Mia talking, then it appeared to be Leena; Breeze and Mia dancing at Leena's wedding in Saudia, but Breeze is in the States with the kids. This installment wasn't long enough. I didn't enjoy the turn Carter's character took. Him cheating on his ride or die didn't ring true. Throwing another woman into their (Carter's and Mia's) mix wasn't a bad idea. I just wasn't for how it turned Carter in ...more

Diamonds are forever

I loved the book. I could have done without the disloyal shit that you expect from niggas after all the s hit that miamour did to keep the cartel afloat this is
the thanks she gets a smack in the face from some who're her husband slept with shit I was happy that she buried Yasmine she had no business playing a game she was not fit for she was out o f her league she should have kept her ass in Saudi Arabia then she would still be alive.

I have been a fan of the Cartel since I was introduced to it. I was highly anticipating this installment and it didn't fall short. It showed a softer side, but still rigid. The characters were the same, but I would've liked to see Breeze be a force since she's the princess of the Diamond legacy. Will Carter Jones redeem himself in the eyes of Miamor or will her yielded feelings ruin their fate? Overall very good .....

I wanted SO MUCH MORE out of this book. I'm not sure what's going on but at this point, maybe the series should come to an end. But, I guess I should say I never got to listen to the last disc (it was due, don't shoot me). So, the last disc may have sealed the deal, but I won't know until I can read the last few pages.

I want MiaMore to shut Yazmin all the way down. I knew that she'd pop up again in the story after the guys were no longer in her territory. I think that plot line is the most exci
