Rate this book
For hundreds of years, evil is trapped beneath the ground. It never sleeps. It only waits to return.

A man turns his back against his magical family and the long ago prophecy predicting a powerful witch with green eyes will release the imprisoned evil into the world. Nathaniel Caswell is determined to avoid the prophecy and the sexy new woman in town who could be his salvation or his downfall.

Meg Costa didn’t realize when she left her urban guidance counselor job for one on the sleepy coast of Massachusetts that she would catch the attention of the sexy green eyed sheriff and be thrown in the middle of a battle between good and evil.

Destiny throws these two together and along with the rest of the magical community, they need to figure out a way to save themselves and the world from being plunged into darkness forever.

Ai yi yi! Hot, sexy, and dangerous. Those are just some of the words I would use to describe this book. I hated that life got in the way of me reading this but was glad when I was able to pick it back up and get sucked into it.

Welcome to Springbrook Massachusetts! A sleepy little East coast town that seems normal on the outside but is anything but once you start digging into its roots. Under the seemingly normal cover that everyone sees lies magic and an evil that is boiling beneath the surface just waiting to come to life.

Nate is sheriff McSexy to every woman in town including Meg. Ever since the two of them met the night she first came to town, she's not been able to stop thinking of him. Her mind is constantly on him while her body hungers fro his touch. Little does she know that her future with him is already set thanks to magic.

Even thought Nate knows what is to happen he finds that his will is weak where Meg is concerned. He tries to stay away but can't. After giving up the fight he gives into not only his carnal needs but his destiny knowing full well what could and will happen.

There wasn't anything about this book that didn't keep me turning the page. I couldn't believe some of the things that happened while others were foreseeable with an unforeseen outcome. Just because you know your destiny doesn't mean you can't find some way to change it and that's exactly what this book is. It had me on the edge of my seat during some parts and utterly shocked at others. It's a book I'd recommended to anyone who likes a paranormal fight of good vs evil with some hot action between a hot small town sheriff and the woman who changed his life forever before she even entered it. Meg and Nate are definitely a couple I would love to read about more.

Nathaniel Caswell and Meg Costa are at the center of a prophecy about a green-eyed witch so powerful he holds the balance between good and evil in his hands. Can this couple and the three magic families in Springbrook, Massachusetts get past their issues, fears, and differences and work together to keep evil from destroying the world and plunging it into darkness?

Green-eyed sheriff Nate has turned his back on his magical heritage. By doing so he hopes to prevent his worst nightmare from coming true—finding his soul mate only to lose her, freeing/unleashing evil onto an unprepared world. Despite himself, Nate is still unable to resist Meg.
After her mother’s accidental death while Meg was in high school, she started dreaming of Nate, Springbrook, and an evil presence chasing her. She is still unprepared for how drawn she is to Nate or the evil and danger they must face when she takes the guidance counselor job in town.

While Bound in Evil succeeds as a quick erotic romance read with very steamy and angsty romance, the paranormal elements, suspense, and horror fall short. It has interesting characters and ideas but the world building and mythology for the witches and the evil they are battling is ambiguous and underdeveloped. The conclusion is anticlimactic and a bit disappointing, leaving more questions than answers.

Nevertheless, the characters and the story are intriguing enough to keep some readers interested in the Bound Trilogy to see where it might go.

If you like your romance stories hot, erotic, and steamy...
If you like your romance stories achingly romantic...
If you like your romance stories a tad on the creepy suspenseful side...

Then this is a great story for you! Marie Rose Dufour has a gift for writing about predestined lovers. I wanted Meg and Nate to consumate their relationship before they even met!!

I am so in love with Nate right now. He knew his woman was coming to him, and he knew what was going to happen to her when she reached him, and that made all his reactions around her just so dang sweet. **dreamy sigh** I didn't want it to end.

But what's better: this is only book one in the series, so it's not the end! Now I'm all excited about Seth and Gemma's story and Micah and Roxann's stories. And since I know the author, I know whose story is next--Ha!

Write fast, Marie...I'm (impatiently) waiting for more!

Between 3 to 3.5 starts

A very steamy story, and choices that are hard to make. Would you risk everything for your mate? This story is full of emotions, sexy scenes, and a faceless evil.

I enjoyed reading this story. It is a quick read full of erotic hot and dramatic scenes. I wished it would have been a longer story so it would have had enough time to develop the characters and the story in more depth. I just couldn't connect with the characters, things seemed to happen very quickly emotionally and with the story.

Marie Rose Dufour has a gift and in Bound in Evil she give us a quick, fun, steamy read!
I loved Nate, but thought he could have been a little more of an alpha! Meg was great and straight forward,my kind of girl.. The story line was good! I would have like a little more information on the prophecy. Being that this is the first book maybe we will get more background on the families. I am looking forward to seeing more of Gemma and Seth.. Can't wait to find out there story!
All in all this is a fun, quick read. Definitely worth a shot!
