WoW!! I hated the book had to end!!
In alot of books the same story line in every book, it gets old. I was getting fed up with reading. I was losing interest until now....This authors stories are unique and imaginative. I was kind of sad when the characters in book one didn't make an appearance in book two, but I started to love the new characters just as much! The stories are so intense. I'm so fascinated with the story, everyone disappears around me. The end of her books are, I don't know! It e

Disclaimer: I received an e-copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This was such a great short story! The first chapter just grabbed me right off the bat, and I couldn't wait to figure out how Jess got to that point. She moves into a house that's haunted by 11 ghosts, most of whom were either murdered or left to die by one man, a cop no less. Her goal is to help them get the justice they deserve while trying to keep herself under the radar. Fat chance in a small town, turning her

I was gifted this quick read by the author but the opinions are all my own.

This was a book I could not put down! I started and got caught up in the story immediately.
The story was not predictable at all. The ending caught me totally unawares.

All Jess wanted was a place to be alone, to put her life back together and deal with her sadness.
She found a wonderful property but nothing is as it seems to others who think they know the history of this house. It is not just nosy neighbors who disturb Jess

I've read A Medium Rare, and now Best Served Bloody and I have to say I absolutely love the world Mrs. MacDughlas has created. I loved learning about what happened to Jess and how she effected everything that she did in A Medium Rare. I read these out of order and don't feel the least bit lost. It takes a great story to make that possible. I couldn't put this down when I picked it up and read it in one sitting. It's a great story to grab if you have a few hours to read a nice, concise story that ...more

LOVED this story! In fact the only disappointing thing about it was that it finished too quickly – I wanted more!

The devilishly woven tale is tense, witty, suspenseful and intriguing. The slow unveiling of the horrors inflicted by Jimmy Harrison has you begging for retribution. You feel the injustice and the imminent threat that he represents to both the living and the dead and then… Oh my goodness … Sinead MacDughlas flips the world on its axis and leaves you spinning!

Fabulous tale that is high

After reading all of the reviews I expected to be terrified during the entire read. While intrigued, I never felt anything akin to fear. The writing style was very personal and captivating. Then, in chapter 12 the unease began to creep in. Quickly it turned to fear and the realization of everything coming together sank in. The twist at the end was both jarring and exhilarating. The last chapter is hauntingly brief, leaving me with the chills I so wanted from this. Another great read from Sinead ...more

Not even Bag of Bones by Stephen King can compare to the trepidation and spine tingling fear given to the reader by Mrs. MacDughlas in Best Served Bloody. Her ability to capture the reader's imagination and push it to new limits in such a short prose is amazing and the twist and turns will leave them dizzy with awe.
Its brilliant!

Wow! I enjoyed this short story. It starts out one way and ends totally different. You think you know what is going to happen and then the writer throws a twist at the end. It's dark and mysterious.

I was born in 1970, (I'll wait while you do the math, lol) I'm Canadian, a bit of a patriot, and I live in a small town North of Toronto, Ontario. I have a hard-working husband, two children, and a black, medium-haired cat who thinks I'm his pet.

My addictive personality is appeased by coffee, cheese, chocolate, books, music, the internet...and nicotine which I'm trying to give up.

I have an ongoi
