These formulaic series books describe military aircraft and are intended for intermediate readers. They cover the history of each plane and include information about its specs, construction, missions and weapons. Large, stunning photographs of the aircraft in action are complemented by easy-to-read text and “Xtreme Fact” boxes. Varied page formats and fonts add visual appeal. Boys especially will be drawn to these books. Back matter includes a glossary and index.
