Read in July, 2008
This is the second in Raichev's series featuring Antonia, and it was just as enjoyable as the first. I only gave it four stars because, again, his character development is fairly shallow-if I compare his central couple, Antonia and Hugh, with the central couple in a Sayers or Marsh novel, his come off as more stock or cardboard. But his extraordinarily tight plotting is a pleasure to read. The story clips along at a very satisfying pace, complete with red herrings and well-dropped real clues....more
